AMaRaP Research Centre: Additive Manufacturing and Rapid Product Development
AMaRaP research directions:
Develop and optimize the Additive Manufacturing processes and direct 3D printing techniques
Research on Innovative Manufacturing and Rapid Tooling, for small volume production of complex parts (Silicone Rubber Tooling, Vacuum Casting, Metal Spray Tooling, Investment Casting)
Develop and integrate the non-conventional technologies (EDM, Water Jet Cutting, etc.), in Rapid Product Development (RPD)
Product design, mechanical analysis and simulations (CAD/CAE)
Optimize the usage of the CAD/CAM systems and detect new features to improve the accuracy and productivity of the CNC manufacturing processes
Research on concurrent engineering and design for competitive manufacturing
Develop and test new medical applications of AM, to build customized implants made of new biocompatible and bioactive materials.
