Our Ability

We have developed our own Ocean& Atmospheric coupled models to provide accurate weather forecasts, even during extreme weather events also. Our indigenous technology is strengthening more with latest advancements. Weather information of Ocean & Atmosphere is most important in daily life. Our own models of WAVE FORecast Tool (WAVEFORT), Cyclone ForeCAST (CyFCAST), WAVe REfraction Forecast (WAVREF), RIP Current FORecast System (RIPCFORS) & Storm SURge Forecast (SURF) are using for regular weather forecasts. All this new advancements in research will be applied to the societal benefits and safeguarding livelihood from the extreme weather events. Also focused on Agriculture to improve with regular accurate weather information.
