The Text a Teacher is run by a licensed teacher, Amanda hoping to help students who are having a difficult time during distance learning and the transition back to the classroom. All text messages are recorded. Amanda assumes all students have asked permission from their parent or guardian to utilize this service or are over 18. After email confirmation of sign up. Students initiate help by sending a text of their question to Amanda then wait for a text, video link or other option in return. Students may text 7am-11pm (excluding holidays) and Amanda responds as soon as she can. Texts are responded to in the order they are received. A timely response is dependent on the number of help requests at the time. Response is not guaranteed. Students should text individual problems to help work through the process together. Single texts including more than 10 problems will only be partially to respect other students requesting help. Students should not use this service to ask for unauthorized help .

The student must agree to ask subject related questions and understand if at anytime Amanda feels uncomfortable with the text she will no longer respond at no warning to the student. Students who send inappropriate content or ask questions not related to their academics will be reported and blocked from this service with no refund. This service is currently only for Algebra I. This service is currently only available for students in the state of Virginia, this is to provide the best service possible having a tutor know the curriculum inside and out. Texts are responded to on first come first serve basis and do not discriminate among students. There is limited subscription space and space will be filled on a first come first serve basis. The subscription offers a free first week then is $50 a month for the first subscribers. Students will no longer receive a response after the free trial week if the subscription monthly fee is not made. The fee is paid through Venmo and the users must agree to their terms of use. Students will automatically be enrolled each month and will be removed from the student list if the fee is not paid and their spot will be filled by a new student on the waitlist. Amanda reserves the right to terminate the service. Amanda has the right to increase the fee of the service. This service has been created in good faith to help students achieve their academic goals and if at any time the student or parent does not believe this service is the best route they may stop at anytime. Once a month is initiated there is no refund for that month. As with any tutoring results are not guaranteed. As soon as a month of service is initiated the monthly fee is not refundable. Students may cancel for the summer however may not be guaranteed a spot again in the fall. It is the students responsibility to be aware of these terms and conditions as terms and conditions may change. Amanda is acting in good faith and believes her students and parents will be as well.
