Amanda S. Fernandez

I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Texas at San Antonio. Prior to joining UTSA, I worked in industry as a software engineer and machine learning researcher. I completed a Bachelors degree in Computer Science at Siena College in NY and my Masters and Doctorate degrees at the University at Albany SUNY. I am a Senior Member of the IEEE and a Senior Member of the National Academy of Inventors (NAI). My research in deep learning and computer vision has been funded with grants and awards from the National Science Foundation (NSF), U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), and U.S. Department of Defense (DOD).
