I am an assistant professor at the Michigan State University School of Human Resources & Labor Relations, with a courtesy appointment in the Department of Economics. My research focuses on labor economics, experimental economics, and public economics. I study how labor markets influence human capital investment and how social dynamics influence prosocial behavior. 

In much of my work, I partner with organizations to conduct studies and experiments. I have worked with a variety of non-profit organizations on academic research ranging from human capital investment to prosocial behavior. My research has appeared in the New York Times, Scientific American, and Knowledge@Wharton Radio. 

I received my PhD from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania in 2018. I hold a B.A. in Economics (honors) and biological sciences from the University of Chicago.
