Amanda Burns has been working for the Yorktown Central School District beginning in May 2006. Amanda has worked in every building at Yorktown and recently transtioned to K-12 Support with a focus on ESTEAM and AI.
Amanda graduated from the College of Westchester in 2006 with a degree in Computer Networking Administration. In 2014 she continued her education and began studying at Fordham University majoring in New Media. She graduated Summa Cum Laude with her Bachelors in May 2016. Since then Amanda has taken many online and in person courses to achieve certifications in programs such as: Google Trainer and Educator, Apple Teacher, Makey Makey, Kami, FlipGrid and Epic Books. In 2019 Amanda was recognized as a "Outstanding Innovative Teacher" by the Lower Hudson Valley Regional Information Center and was awarded a Proclamation from the Westchester County Government. She is also a very active presenter at many EDTECH events.

Amanda's mission for the district is to continually advance their technology use by bringing new ideas and concepts to the district and to educate students, teachers and staff on all things technology and how to comfortably use them.
