WHY I chose BCI
I chose Brain-Computer interface as my topic because it really interested me in the way it helps people gain their independence back with advance technology. It's crazy to think that a device knows what youre thinking to help you move around, communicate, play games, adjust and adapt to your environment.
This project
This projects main focus is on Emerging Technology. Picking a Emerging Technology was kind of hard because theres so many good topics to pick from. After picking a topic, we needed to learn, research and study the topic to make a powerpoint explaining everything about this technology
One Thing I learned
I learned that this kind of technology comes in different ways such as a prosthetic or device communicating with others. When your brain send signals, the technology detects it and can move your prosthetic from you thinking of the movement you want to make.
Reflection
This unit definately was a little harder than the recent units but sometimes I like a bit of a challenge. Brain-computer technology is really interesting to learn about because it really shows you how far technology has come and how much more advance it will be in the future. Using your thoughts to communicate and/or move a prosthetic limb is crazy to think about but this is our future. I love seeing technology that can really help people who already have a disadvantage at life and I think thats great.
