Thank you for the reply and the solution. I never tried clicking that icon before and thought it was just an indicator of some sort. Once I click that icon, it reveals the option on the bottom to copy link.

Something that Chrome has that I found very useful is being able to send a link from desktop brave to mobile brave or vice versa. Is that available currently? I have not been able to figure it out if it is.

Once you have Sync enabled across your devices you can right click (or hold if on mobile) a link and you will be prompted to send the link to another device in your Sync chain which will open it on the device.

Yes, Brave is completely free to use. Simply download the Brave browser for desktop, for Android, or for iOS to get started. You can also use Brave Search free from any browser at search.brave.com, or set it as your default search engine.

While testing my web page on Brave browser on Android, there was an unexpected behaviour where a person's name that was displayed in the page within a td element was automatically turned into a web search link, e.g.

The test name happened to be 'James Cameron' (no relation) and presumably the browser has automatically Googled the text content and provided a link to the film producer of the same name in a panel at the bottom of the page. I don't want this, as it's intrusive and inappropriate for my use case. Is there a way to prevent this behaviour, perhaps by adding a META tag?I don't get this happening with Safari on IOS.

I'm having trouble with Brave on Android. Whenever I try to open a link which should, for example, open YouTube or Twitter, it opens in Brave instead. It started to happen about 3 or 4 updates prior. I'm on Android 12 (OneUI 4.0). I checked all the settings within OneUI and enabled apps to open their respective links in them instead of browser.

HOWEVER there are separate apps on the app store (I don't link to any specific one here but search for example "create shortcut launcher") that allow you to create "custom" shortcuts. With these apps you can create a simple URL shortcut and define which browser is used to open it.

One thing you can do is set your homepage. Go to Settings on Chrome. Tap on Homepage. There will be two options, one is called Chrom'e Homepage and the other option is a text box for URLs. You can put HTML content in there for example the following line will create a page with Google as hyperlink. You can create a whole pretty dashboard using this method.

@samuela - Does it recognize the website you're visiting, or do you have to search for and associate the login with Brave? Right now it "works" for me also but I have to link Brave with every site I visit which means eventually I'll have to scroll though a long list of logins to find the right one (rather than being presented with the one that is relevant to the current website.)

Follow the steps below to transfer your game data from one device to another on Android, iOS, or Steam.

On your current device:

1. Tap either the "Data Link" button on the Title screen or tap the cogwheel icon in the top right corner of the Home screen and then tap "Data Link."

2. Link your game data to either KLab ID, Sign in with Apple, or Google Play.

(Please note that Sign in with Apple and Google Play can only be used to transfer game data between devices that use the same operating system. If you wish to transfer your game data to the Steam version or to a device that uses a different OS from your current device, please link your game data to KLab ID.)

On your new device:

1. Install the app.

2. Start the app and then tap the "Data Link" button in the bottom right of the Title screen.

3. Select the service you linked your game data to.

4. A pop-up will appear. Make sure the information is correct and then confirm the pop-up to complete the Data Link process.

If you're playing on the PlayStation4, it is not possible to link with a service other than the PSN. This means that you cannot transfer your game data from the PlayStation 4 to another device.

"PlayStation" is a registered trademark or trademark of Sony Interactive Entertainment Inc.

As of version 14.2.0, Facebook can no longer be used for Data Linking.

As of version 15.1.0, the Game Center can no longer be used for new Data Links.

In order to transfer your game data to another device, you need to set up a Data Link with an account on another service. To do this, tap Settings on the Home screen and then tap Data Link, or tap the Menu button on the Title screen. You can link your game data using KLab ID or an OS-specific account. You need to link your data using either KLab ID to be able to play the game on another device that uses a different OS from your current device, so please make sure to link to one of these two before attempting to transfer your data to a new device with a different OS.

By setting up a Data Link, you can play the game using the same data on multiple devices, but you cannot play the game with the same game data on two devices simultaneously.

When transferring data to a new device, the saved Data Link game data will be used. Transferring data is performed in the same way as setting up a Data Link: by tapping Settings on the Home screen and then tapping Data Link, or tapping the Menu button on the Title screen.

If you uninstall the game without performing a Data Link, all game data will be lost and will not be recovered by re-installing the game.

You cannot transfer new game data to an account that has already had game data transferred to it.

If you have any questions about Data Links or transferring data to a new account, please contact our customer services department.

Please note that KLab ID cannot be used to perform a Data Link on PlayStation4 or PlayStation5.

On 15 October 2021, Brave announced a new privacy feature dubbed "debouncing". The new feature is designed to disarm bounce tracking, a method of Internet tracking through intermediary domains that load when users click on a link. Debouncing will automatically recognize when users are about to visit a known tracking domain and renavigates the user to their intended destination, skipping the tracking site altogether.[71][72]

ZDNET briefly reviewed Brave in July 2021, offering mixed feedback. Writer Adrian Kingsley-Hughes found Brave to be the better option over Google Chrome for privacy, but found the default ads promoting cryptocurrency trading to be at odds with Brave's purported priorities, stating "(...) it's true that it does display ads, and there are links to several cryptocurrency services. They're "safe" ads, and you can turn them off, but it wasn't what some people expected to see in a browser that had been billed as putting privacy at its core."[111]

Brave has received negative press for diverting ad revenue from websites to itself,[30] collecting unsolicited donations for content creators without their consent,[43] suggesting affiliate links in the address bar[49] and installing a paid VPN service without the user's consent.[58]

Since a couple of days I am no longer able to connect to my local home assistant setup through internet. I have setup ha via docker and traefik. When I am on the same network the app works fine. When I want to connect through the internet it does not work anymore. This also happens when I try to connect via Firefox, if I connect via brave or chrome browser the connection is fine.

Tip: It is recommended you enter your private session link in Orion settings, as it will allow you to use Kagi in private windows and after clearing cookies. To do this, first go to Orion > Settings.

Kagi is available as an extension for all major browsers. The extension sets Kagi as the default search engine on some browsers/platforms and allows you to search with Kagi even in a private window without logging in (this can be also set manually with the use of a private session link).

If your browser is configured to default to private browsing, this will require you to log back in to Kagi each time your tabs are closed. To get around this, in the Search string to use field, use your session link and append &q=%s at the end.

Link Bubble is an application that works with your Internet browser allowing you to optimize your browsing time using a very simple process: it loads the first link that you click on in the background while it continues to show the current webpage in the foreground. So, you can keep looking at the content that you have in front of you, while the new web page loads in the background.

The website that you load in the background will be linked to a little bubble at the left of the screen, so when you click on the bubble, you can access the webpage without having to wait any time at all. ff782bc1db
