Aim, Format, Venue

Aim: to foster interaction and collaboration in theory and applications, to provide a discussion forum for scientists from different disciplines and practitioners from companies where they can inspire and learn from each other, meet new people, form new research alliances and plan new joint research projects.

Format: A single track for talks in the conference center with enough time for discussions outside the conference hall. All participants stay in the workshop hotel and book their room through Registration & Accommodation section of this web-site. Participation fees are not charged to such participants, they pay the costs for accommodation and catering to the hotel at the hotel.

Registration and accommodation

Registration:

Only participants are admitted who stay in the workshop hotel and book their room through the registration and accommodation form. Participation fees are not charged to such participants, they pay the costs for accommodation and catering to the hotel at the hotel. The registration and accommodation form is only for room reservation, not for payment. Participants who want to pay in advance by receiving an invoice, please, contact the organisation who will request the hotel to issue an invoice.

If you fill in the registration form after August 18, we first need to ask the hotel if there is still room availability, we will inform you asap after that.

Travel

Destination: Gran Hotel San Michele, Cetraro (Calabria), Italy

Air: The nearest airport, Lamezia Terme (SUF) is 75 km from the hotel. The hotel can arrange for transfer, see below. Alternatively, you can fly to Naples (NAP) or Rome and then continue by train to Cetraro or Paola. The hotel can arrange for transfer from Paola and Cetraro train stations, see below.

Train: Cetraro has a train station on which regional trains stop. Fast trains stop at Paola train station that is about 21 km from the hotel. From Paola you can travel by a regional train to Cetraro or use the shuttle service directly to the hotel. The hotel can arrange for transfer from Cetraro and Paola train stations, see below.

If you, for instance use as a query on that site 'From: Napoli Centrale | To: Cetraro' the system will give you possible connections with their total travel time. You are advised to use a fast train, called Freccia or Intercity from Napoli Centrale to Paola. To go from Paola train station to the hotel you can either use a regional train from Paola to Cetrao (10 min.) in the result of your querry or skip that train and use the shuttle service to reach the hotel. If on departure you use a fast train from Paola to go to your next destination, you are advised to use the shuttle service to go from the hotel to Paola train station - if you instead use a reginal train (Regionale) from Cetraro to Paola, it may have a delay and you may miss the connection with the fast train.

Possible routes: International participants can fly to Lamezia Terme or Naples or Rome.

From Lamezia Terme airport, the easiest way is to ask the hotel to arrange for transfer.

From Naples or Rome, one can take a fast train to Paola that is 21 km from the hotel. There are also regional trains to Cetraro. The hotel can arrange for transfer from Paola and Cetraro train stations.
