Here are some of the promises which God has given to his people. God keeps his promises and we can rely on him!

Each verse is taken from the New King James Version of the Bible with its book, chapter and verse reference.

Promise of eternal life

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life."

John 3:16

Promise of answered prayer

Jesus said, "Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them."

Mark 11:24

Promise of forgiveness

"If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."

1 John 1:9

Promise of a way out

"No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it."

1 Corinthians 10:13

Promise of a Guide

"For this is God, our God forever and ever;

He will be our Guide even to death."

Psalm 48:14

Promise of the Spirit's presence

God "will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever—the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you."
