Meeting student and teacher needs in a changing landscape
Welcome to our Mathematics and Calculus Teachers day' event website.
Here we will post information about the day, including registration information, along with resources from workshop sessions.

We are currently seeking expressions of interest from those who would like to present. If you think this might be you, please fill in this form:
You are free to take this theme and interpret it however you like in terms of your workshop. As always, we would love to have workshops that share successful Mathematics and Calculus teaching activities, where participants are involved in hands-on activities and where teaching is modelled.
This year you have the option of presenting:
25 minutes (half a session
55 minutes (typical session)
1 hour 20 minutes (longer session)
1 hour 50 minutes (double session)
Workshops can be based on any curriculum level and/or integrate Mathematics and Calculus and other learning areas within the New Zealand Curriculum.

Jared Hockly - Western Springs College
Jared Hockly - Western Springs College
Jared holds a BSc, Diploma in Teaching, and a Master of Professional Studies that he completed as part of his Kalman fellowship in 2019.. Beyond leading the mathematics department at Western Springs College in Auckland, he is heavily involved in the school's community, sports, and sustainability initiatives.
Jared has made a phenomenal contribution to the teaching community of NZ through his work for the Auckland Maths Association's AMA online initiative and regular presentations at PD events such as this one across his teaching career. He is very much looking forward to sharing some of his insight with us all.
