Using Excel, I conducted an in-depth analysis of crops to identify the most efficient and profitable options for in-game planting. This involved assessing each crop's seed cost, days to grow, regrowth cycle, yield, and the base value of each yield. With a focus on both seasonal (28-day) and yearly (4-season) planting strategies, this approach allowed me to determine the optimal investments to maximize returns and reduce waste.
The analysis uncovered several unique insights, helping me make better planting decisions. For instance, I identified the candy cane plant as the only crop capable of producing profit during winter, with a 75% margin over the season. Conversely, clover showed a negative return on investment, costing $100 for seeds but yielding only three crops that sell for $5 each, making it an inefficient choice year-round.
I set up multiple sheets to organize information by season and identify crops that could be planted in any season. This structure allowed me to pull details from a main crop data sheet, streamlining crop selection based on seasonal or year-round growth suitability. The organized data provided a quick reference for choosing crops best suited to each season, making the most of time and resources in the game.
