Growing up, the allure of detective work captivated my imagination. I immersed myself in solving puzzles, devouring Nancy Drew books, and avidly following crime dramas like NCIS and Law and Order. The thrill of piecing together clues and unraveling mysteries fueled my passion, leading to countless hours spent doing escape rooms and murder mystery parties with friends. However, as I matured, I came to the realization that my childhood dream no longer aligned with my goals in life, causing me to reconsider my career path.
Instead, I found myself working at a local pet store while pursuing a business degree at the community college. Though the experience was not entirely fulfilling, it served as a pivotal moment in discovering my true passion—Data Analytics. Analyzing sales trends, forecasting using Excel, and managing inventory sparked my interest, prompting me to delve deeper into this field. The onset of the COVID-19 pandemic brought unprecedented challenges, pushing me to the brink of burnout. It was during this time that I made the pivotal decision to pivot my career path towards Data Analytics.
I embarked on a journey of self-improvement, completing an extensive Merit America Data Analytics Program and earning the Google Data Analytics Professional Certificate. With over three years of experience in the retail industry, combined with skills in customer service, project management, data collection, and report generation, I transitioned into a role as a Data Analyst at CAMI Energy. Here, I develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports, analyze complex datasets, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful data solutions. Grounded in my childhood curiosity and driven by a passion for problem-solving, I remain committed to leveraging data to drive informed decision-making and foster innovation.
