When the Canada wildfire smoke started to drift into michigan in late june/early july of 2023, I started to really think about the Air quality index (AQI). I found some data sets from the EPA ranging from 2000 t0 2022 and decided to do some analysis to discover the best and worst places to live in the US based on the data over the last 22 years.
I spent a few weeks pouring over all of the information in R and eventually exported my data frame into Tableau to make a dashboard.
