Always Ask for Help is the story of Arnie Stewart. Told in his own words, Arnie describes his life without knowing how to read and write. Listen to Arnie tell his story as you read along.
Always Ask for Help the documentary includes archived footage of Arnie's tour of 78 schools, learners along the way and animated reinactments of Arnie's difficult life with low literacy.
Always Ask for Help Classroom is an app for adult basic education learners. Using the world as a classroom resource, AAFHC is a practical just in time tool for navigating the world.
Our brilliant animation team, led by award-winning animation director Dana Corrigan, is using the children's drawings to re-enact Arnie's life stories. Arnie's voice is steady and authentic, set to the beautiful renditions of his life on lined paper.
Most of our animators are volunteering countless hours to make this dream come true. Your donations help Janet Lee send financial support to the team. Come to our exclusive event on July 29th to see never-before-revealed footage.
In summer 2026, AAFH was awarded the prestigious RISE (Research, Innovation, and Scholarly Excellence) Grant from the University of Tampa.
This grant supports animation production with Out on the Road, the story that begins Arnie's journey as an inspiring speaker traveling across Canada, changing lives one classroom at a time.
Did you know anxiety can cause you to lose the ability to ask for help? The Arnie card is a way to signal that you need help.
Just put your name on the card and give it to someone who can help.
