History Behind the Artwork:
This is one of the artist's DC Comics Fan Characters, Falc-X. This was one of the darker OCs that she had at the time, and she felt very smart and mature for writing this character. The design was inspired by the Batwoman design in the Batman movie, "The Mystery of The Batwoman." Falc-X is a teenage girl who lives on the streets of Gotham City after her father killed her mother and twin sister. In early versions of her story, she created her suit by herself, and she fights crime to stop people like her father. She also hates Batman and all those characters. She also has a dog named Red Rover, which did not show up much past this piece. Falc-X is still a character the artist draws and daydreams about, but the character is (hopefully) much cooler now. The artist also notes that she has no idea where the name "FanFictionish" comes from, but she thinks it was a username used on Quizilla or Wattpad.
About the Artist:
Jenn Rust is an artist, writer, and archivist. Jenn sees art as more of a hobby, but does do art for online projects (The Sunflower Club, Indie TTRPG, Commissions, etc.) She has been drawing all her life, and its both a physical need to draw and a form of expression for her. Jenn's old art is really important to her and she has kept almost every sketchbook and art she has ever created since early middle school. She loves looking back at her old art and seeing how much fun she had and how much she has grown since.
