What are the Levels of Membership?

There are three main memberships which each member of the Android subreddit can obtain. The first level of membership for this community are the commenters. This is the lowest level of membership in terms of authority. When first joining the Android subreddit, each member will start as a commenter. A commenter's role is to keep the comment threads lively. They will do this by starting or joining the conversations inside of a comment thread. If a user receives an upvote, also called a like, they will gain Karma. Another effective way to get Karma is by creating a popular comment thread.

The final level of membership of the Android subreddit is a moderator. A moderator, also called a mod, is the role which has the most authority throughout the subreddit. The role of the members with this membership is to prevent hateful comments and disrespectful people from tarnishing the experience of the Android subreddit for other normal users. Overall, they want to keep this subreddit a safe and respectful place where Android users can peacefully communicate with each other. To become a mod for the Android subreddit, the user must show their dedication to the Android reddit community, have several Karma points, and they must have been apart of the community for more than a short while.
