Hello and Welcome!

I’m Alvin, a passionate biology enthusiast with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from CSU San Bernardino. My time at CSU San Bernardino was both rigorous and fulfilling, providing me with an in-depth understanding of biological sciences and significant personal and professional growth.

My journey began in Temple City, where I graduated from Temple City High School in 2019. After high school, I relocated to Ontario, CA, in 2019, where I embraced the vibrant and diverse community of this beautiful city!

Professionally, I’ve accumulated a range of experiences that have shaped my career path and skill set. I started my professional journey at Panda Express as a shift leader. This role was instrumental in developing my leadership skills, where I learned to manage a team, handle customer interactions, and ensure smooth daily operations. The experience honed my ability to lead effectively and handle diverse challenges with confidence.

Following my tenure at Panda Express, I joined CSU San Bernardino’s Santos Manuel Student Union as a building manager. This role provided me with a comprehensive understanding of facility management, where I managed daily operations, coordinated events, and handled various clerical tasks. It was a valuable opportunity to enhance my organizational and management skills, preparing me for future leadership roles.

Currently, I’m working at Man Dental Clinic, where I initially began as a Clinical Administrator. In this role, I gained experience in patient care, administrative duties, and clinic operations. Over time, I transitioned to a Marketing position, where I now utilize my skills in communication and strategic planning to promote the clinic and contribute to its growth. This role has allowed me to blend my administrative experience with my passion for marketing.

Outside of my professional life, I’m deeply passionate about various activities that enrich my life. I find immense joy in spending time in nature, whether it’s hiking scenic trails or relaxing at the beach with friends. These outdoor adventures are a perfect way for me to unwind and reconnect with the world around me.

Creativity is also a significant part of my life. I’ve been playing the piano for 19 years and have achieved Level 8 on the ABRSM examination board. Music has always been a source of inspiration and relaxation for me. While I’ve also played the violin for nearly as long, I particularly enjoy playing the piano and composing my own music in my free time. This creative outlet allows me to express myself and explore new ideas.

I’m also a foodie, and my current favorite dish is hotpot. I love exploring new cuisines and trying out different recipes, which adds an exciting flavor to my life.

As I work towards becoming a high school biology teacher, I’m enthusiastic about bringing my diverse experiences, love for science, and strong interpersonal skills into the classroom. My goal is to inspire and engage my students, making biology an accessible and exciting subject for everyone.
