1. How is Daily Kharcha useful for me?

Kharcha means expense in Hindi. Daily Kharcha is very simple and useful app to manage all your income and expenses at single place easily. Just add your income and expenses daily and the app automatically does the calculation for you.

You can see the trend of your expenses, calculate monthly, yearly savings and see which area you spend more and eventually helps you to analyse and spend smartly to save more.

Dashboard in the home page gives a quick idea of how much % of expenses is done versus your income for the current month.

It is very simple to use. It is totally free, safe and secure. App does not save or read any data. All data is in your control.

So start using this app for your daily expense and income and experience the impact.

2. How to edit or delete an entry?

Single click on an existing entry to edit or delete.

3. How to add entry for any date in the past?

There are 2 ways to do this.

a. Swipe Right to go to previous dates

b. Click on Calendar icon and click on the date of your choice to navigate to that date

4. How to get details for any date range?

Click on Menu (3 dots at top right) -> Report

Select All to include all category or you can search and select category of your choice.

a. Custom : select To and From date ranges to get data between those date range.

b. Monthly : get date wise data for selected Month

c. Yearly : get Monthly totals for selected Year.

5. How can I export data?

Click on Menu (3 dots at top right) -> Report

In Custom section, select the Date range of your choice.

Click on ê icon to Export the file in Excel format. You can share or save in locally.

Exported file contains description of each entry also, if added.

6. How to add Income or Expense?

Click on + icon to Add new entry, Click on Income Option to switch between income and Expense. You can change dates by swiping left right.

7. I don’t see Category of my choice ? How to add new category?

There are few category provided by default. You can add your own custom category.

Click on Menu (3 dots at top right) -> Category ->Click on + (plus) sign to add your own category. You can also add emojis as per your choice.

8. What does Dashboard show?

Dashboard in the homepage shows your total Income and Expense of current month. It also shows the % of expense done versus your income for current month.

It also shows the trend of expense of your previous month for your reference.

9. How to take backup?

To take backup of your data, make sure you are connected to Internet.

Go to Settings -> Click on backup button.

Sign in with your Google account if not signed in.

After successful sign-in, your data will be backed up safely to your Google drive and a confirmation message as below will appear at the bottom of the screen.

“Backup done successfully”

In case you have multiple google accounts in your device, choose appropriate account you want to use for backup. Same will appear next to Logout button, after successful login.

10. When should I take backup?

It is important to take backup at regular intervals for your own safety. You can use this feature every week and the backup will keep on updating to latest file.

In case of loss or damage of your device, you can easily get your data back on single click in new device.

11. How to import backup to New device?

Make sure that you have backed up your data in the old device

To import data in new device, ensure

Install the app in the new device.

Go to Settings -> Restore, Sign in with your Google account (same account that you used to take backup)

The app will fetch the backup file from your Google drive and a message will be displayed on successful restore.

Make sure you are connected to Internet.

12. How do Charts Work?

To help you analyze the trends in your income and expenses, we have provided 3 types of charts. These are monthly charts. You can click on Ex & In icons on the top to switch between Expense and Income.

Pie Chart – Category wise distribution for the whole month to understand top 10 categories contribution to monthly expense or income.

Bar Chart – Category wise total of data for selected month. This helps understand which category is most impacting.

Trend Chart – Helps you see the trend in your data, to understand highs and lows of the month on any given date.

You can zoom in the charts, by pinch out – pinch in gestures. Click on any data point to see the details below the chart.

13. How to change language?

Click on Settings -> Select from App Language

14. How to fix backup failed issue?

If there is any error during backup, check your internet is on and you are logged into google drive using Gmail, from the application.

After choosing your Google account, try to take backup.

15. How can I change my Theme?

Click on Settings -> Theme. Select from various available themes.
