History

The Russia of today was created in 1801 during the Russian Civil War, where it was nicknamed North Russia (aka Republic of Russia). It is seen as the first of the "new republics". North Russia fought alongside South Russia, or the Imperial Order of Russia. Despite both initially wanting to control all of Russia, they decided to split it instead. In 1811, North Russia, Canada and Finland created International-Independent, or Indep-Inter, to support constitutionalization and the formation of republics.

The three Russias (North, South, and Alyeska) were initially peaceful with each other. However, thanks to the Great War, the ideological split between North and South Russia led to war in 1817. North Russia joined the Protector forces, while South Russia joined the Central forces. While the Centrals were the winners of the war in 1820, South Russia lost to North Russia. This caused instability in South Russia and later the Kazakh Revolution of 1822. North Russia supported the Kazakhs, who successfully founded their own Republic, and South Russia collapsed in 1824, with North Russia annexing it into what is now the Republic of the Ukraine. North Russia renamed itself into Russia after this.
