In May of 2023 Altlawns planted native gardens at Veterans Park by the community gardens. Richfield staff joined us to to help pollinators who will also increase yields at nearby gardens.

This is a great way to learn native habitat fall care and a good opportunity to share time together doing good work.

All are invited. Even if you cannot plant or weed you could tell jokes, play music, keep us hydrated, or sketch us while we work! It takes each of us.

In October 2023 Leslie Pilgrim of Neighborhood Greening led Altlawn volunteers in a Soft Landing Workshop. Come learn more about what a soft landing is and why we call it that.

Working side by side strengthens our friendships and lends time to share about how to care for native gardens.

All are invited. Even if you cannot plant or weed you could tell jokes, play music, keep us hydrated, identify bird calls, or sketch us while we work! It takes each of us.

This will be the third fall we work on this garden. Alicia started this on her own after noticing the city public works were scraping over the roots of these trees. The City of Richfield donated hundreds of plants from Agrarian Seed and Garden. Altlawns winter sowing provided at least a thousand over the years to this garden.

All are invited. Even if you cannot plant or weed you could tell jokes, play music, keep us hydrated, or sketch us while we work! It takes each of us.
