Altic punctuation is not at the bottom of characters as in the Latin script, but in a more central position. In lone sentences (i.e. a heading or statement), the same punctuation is often placed on both ends of the character string for emphasis.

This symbol represents a general pause, whether it be a full stop or a comma.
Equivalent to a question mark. Also indicates doubt or disbelief, such as in a sentence like "Yeah, sure you believe that".
Equivalent to an exclamation point, although also used to indicate a full stop in a paragraph or complex sentence.
