At AlphaLeap, we are committed to providing a safe and secure learning environment for children. This Privacy Policy describes how we handle information in our mobile application.
We believe that a child’s data should stay on their device. AlphaLeap is designed to function primarily offline. We do not have accounts, and we do not store your data on our servers.
To provide the best learning experience, the following information is stored locally on your device using highly efficient storage (Hive):
Progress Data: Level completions, tracing accuracy, and achievement scores.
Personalization: The child’s first name and age (used for in-app encouragement).
Settings: Parental PIN, volume levels, and display preferences.
Note: This data is never transmitted to us or any third party. It remains on the device and is deleted if you uninstall the app or clear its data.
Speech-to-Text & TTS: The app uses your device’s built-in speech recognition and text-to-speech engines. Audio data processed for recognition is handled by the operating system and is not stored or transmitted by our app.
Local Notifications: We use local notifications for reminders. These are scheduled and triggered entirely on your device.
Our app is designed for children under the age of 13.
We do not collect any personally identifiable information (PII) that is transmitted to us.
We do not use behavioral tracking or targeted advertising.
We do not require an account or email address to use the app.
We may use third-party libraries for app functionality (e.g., PDF generation, charts). These libraries process data locally on your device.
Firebase/Analytics: (If applicable) We may use basic, anonymized analytics to improve app performance. No personal data from children is tracked.
The app includes a "Share" feature (e.g., sharing a certificate). This action is entirely user-initiated. The app only passes the document to the system's share sheet; we do not see or store who you share it with.
Since your data is stored locally, its security depends on the security of your device. We recommend using device-level passcodes or biometrics.
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the app with an updated "Effective Date."
