The Future Aerospace Leadership Program or F.A.L.P. is a year-long intensive leadership and mentorship program for UPRM students. Divided into two semesters, Fall and Spring, participants learn about the aerospace industry and are introduced to the field of amateur rocketry. Technical and non-technical skills are developed through workshops offered by project leaders and special guests, which are implemented in a hands-on final project at the end of the program.
The School Outreach Program provides workshops and mentorships to students from Kindergarten to 12th grade. Our association visits classrooms to teach the basics of science principles and rocketry, as well as provide career talks for older students. Science demonstrations, group dynamics and fun activities are performed to complement the lessons taught and interest youth in S.T.E.M. Model rocket launches are also done, thus providing an experience similar to what our association's members have. Finally, mentorship is provided to high schools interested in creating their own amateur rocket clubs. If you are interested press here.
