Welcome to my academic space!
I am an Associate Professor of Industrial Engineering at Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts. I received my Ph.D. in Operations Management and Manufacturing from Carnegie Mellon University. My research uses techniques from stochastic operations research, machine learning, and simulation to design and control manufacturing systems and supply chains. I am particularly interested in AI-driven methods for the automatic generation of digital twins and simulation models, with the goal of making simulation-based decision support more accessible and trustworthy. My recent work primarily focuses on semiconductor manufacturing and electronics supply chains as application areas.
My research has appeared in journals such as Operations Research, IISE Transactions, Manufacturing & Service Operations Management, Production & Operations Management, European Journal of Operations Research (EJOR), INFORMS Journal on Computing, and IEEE Transactions on Semiconductor Manufacturing. My work has been recognized with awards such as the EURO Award for Best EJOR Paper, the IISE Annual Conference Best Track Paper Award, and an Best IISE Transactions Paper Honorable Mention. I am co-chair of the Manufacturing & Industry 4.0 Track at Winter Simulation Conference, and an Associate Editor at Journal of Simulation. Prior to joining Northeastern in 2025, I was an Associate Professor at Eindhoven University of Technology in the Netherlands.
