Alorro Beachfront was one of the properties purchased in the 1950s by the late Diosdado C. Alorro, Sr. and Restituta A. Alorro from the indigenous people of Kaputian, Samal. During the Japanese invasion of the Philippines, the couple was forced to flee their second home in Banaybanay, a municipality in Davao Oriental, and arrived by boat on the shores of Kaputian, Samal.

In 2000, their successors began developing the Alorro Beachfront, later opening it to the public. However, in the early 2000s, tourism in Samal was still in its infancy, resulting in minimal to no revenue for the resort. In 2015, the couple's youngest child, Cheril Alorro, leased and further developed the property, formally naming it Alorro Beach Resort.

After Cheril Alorro’s leasing contract expired at the end of 2021, the couple’s nine (9) children collectively decided to operate the resort as a family business. To enhance the guest experience, the family scheduled a two-week refurbishment in early January 2022, focusing on improving amenities, installing additional cabanas, and clearing beachfront space to accommodate more visitors. By January 14, 2022, the resort reopened under the new management of the siblings, now rebranded as Alorro Crystal Beach Resort.

Aligned with the growing tourism industry in the Island Garden City of Samal, Alorro Crystal Beach Resort continues to expand and enhance its facilities. However, the resort has encountered operational challenges, including frequent power outages due to its 5-kilometer distance from the main road, weak mobile signal and internet connectivity, and limited road accessibility. The only ingress and egress to the resort is via a 5-meter-wide, earth-paved barangay road that connects to the public access route.

Despite these challenges, Alorro Crystal Beach Resort remains committed to providing a serene and relaxing getaway, continuously improving its services to meet the increasing demand of both local and international tourists.
