About the Game

Alone - a Pixelated Wilderness Survival Game set in Siberia

Alone is a retro styled pixelated survival game. The game takes place in the extremely cold Siberian wilderness in 1983, Soviet Union. You are the only survivor after a plane crash and now you have to find shelter to sleep in, food to eat and fuel to keep your campfire alive.

Gameplay

The game consists of a camp menu, where you can manage your inventory, craft, eat, go hunting etc. and an overworld where you can collect resources for your camp. In the crafting menu you can upgrade your camp, clothes and a few of your items, for example your bow.

When you decide to leave your camp, you come to the overworld of the game. The overworld is made from a group of different locations, for example a forest, the plane crash site and an ice lake. All of the different locations have different kinds of items in them to find and help your survival. In the beginning of the game you can't decide where to head, but once you have found a compass, you can choose the direction yourself.

In the later stages of the game the environment will become more challenging every day with the growing amount of snow and avalanches caused by it. Wolves will also start to spawn more often. You will also uncover a hidden village and an old destroyed soviet bunker from the World War II close to the end of the game.

There are few puzzles to solve during the game.

The game has 2 difficulties: Hard and Extreme

You can finish the story in about 1-2 hours and it’s meant to be played in one sitting with headphones on for the best possible experience.
