Hi, I am Alokesh Manna, a current 4th-year PhD Candidate in the Department of Statistics, at the University of Connecticut. My advisors are Dr. Dipak Dey, Dr. Neil Spencer, and Dr. Sujit Ghosh (NCSU).
My primary research focus is on spatial analysis (images of cancer cells, environment, and forensic footwear), Time series analysis and modeling, Computer vision, High-Dimensional Analysis, Conformal analysis, Deep learning, Generative Modeling, Bayesian modeling, computation, and theory development. I have worked in environmental data, stock market prediction, forensic analysis, footwear image data (spatial), and claim data modeling. Recently, I have been working on Uncertainty Quantification in Image Segmentation and Classification using deep learning models.
I do collaborative research and lead different projects including my RA in Travelers with my statistical knowledge and computational skills. I firmly believe in bridging the gap from theory to practical application and ultimately integrating valuable insights from collaborative research into real-world applications.
I have included my research works in Google scholar. A brief description of my current projects is here. I've included my featured publications below.
