The phenomenon of "Saturn return" is a concept of Western astrology. It occurs when the planet Saturn returns to the same position that it occupied at the moment of a person's birth. Astrologists say it influences a person's life at roughly 29.5 year intervals, as they cross over a major threshold and enter the next stage of life. The first return, at around the ages of 27-31, represents the time that one reaches full adulthood, and being face (perhaps for the first time) with adult challenges and responsibilities.
The second (56-60) represents maturity. The third (84-90) represents wise old age. Saturn's return also stands as an astrological addition to the concept of the quarter- and mid-life crisis.
