About Me

I am an Assistant Professor of Finance at the College of Business Administrations, Kuwait University. I received my B.S. in Electrical Engineering (Business Minor) from the University of Kansas in 2008. In 2012, I obtained my MBA from the Paul Merage School of Business at the University of California Irvine. I earned my Ph.D. in Finance from the University of Colorado Boulder in 2017. At the University of Colorado Boulder, I have been recognized for excellent classroom performance and awarded a doctoral teaching award. I have presented my research in numerous conferences, and published at top ranking refereed journals. My research interests include the areas of Banking, Regulation, M&A, Corporate Investment, and Empirical Corporate Finance.

Between 2010 and 2012, I worked as an assistant researcher at the Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research (KISR) with a special focus on renewable energy projects. My work included the design and development of unique clean-tech solutions that has been utilized by various government agencies to reduce Kuwait's carbon footprint and provide affordable green energy.
