almostCaroline is the name under which I make and share my work.
I work primarily with drawing, ceramics, and, more recently, printmaking, exploring nature's patterns in relation to our human experience. My practice is less concerned with a single style than with following an idea wherever it leads.
I have chosen to keep my personal identity separate from the work. almostCaroline is not a shortened version of my real name, nor is it intended to point toward it. It is simply the name attached to the work.
There is a certain freedom in that separation. Without a biography to explain the work, the work has to speak for itself.
This site exists for that reason: to collect the work in one place and let it be encountered on its own terms.
Thank you for stopping by:)
