almostCaroline is the name under which I make and share my work. There is a certain freedom in separating my personal identity from my art. Without a biography to explain pieces, the work has to speak for itself. Yet, many of my visual stories are derived from lived experience.
I work primarily with drawing, ceramics, and, more recently, printmaking, exploring nature's patterns in relation to our human experience. My practice is less concerned with a single style than with following an idea wherever it leads, often searching for ways to experiment with numerous variables within each piece.
I hope that viewers gain new perspectives after encountering my art, learning to look past what meets the eye.
