The Almena Express Rider App is intended exclusively for authorized Almena Express delivery personnel to manage orders assigned through the Almena Express logistics platform.

By installing or using this application, you acknowledge and agree to the practices described below.

To ensure proper operation, Almena Express may collect the following categories of information:

Personal Information (provided by you or your employer):

• Rider/Staff ID for authentication

• Name

Location Information (Highly Sensitive Data):

• Background Location Access: Because Almena Express is a logistics and rider delivery application, the app accesses, collects, and monitors precise and approximate device location data in the background (even when the app is closed, minimized, or not actively in use).

• Why it is collected: Continuous background tracking is strictly required to enable real-time delivery tracking for customers, calculate accurate estimated arrival times (ETAs), and seamlessly optimize route assignments when a rider switches to external navigation apps (such as Google Maps). Location tracking is active only during an active delivery session or shift and stops completely when the rider goes offline or logs out.

Technical & Device Information (collected automatically):

• Device type and operating system version

• App build/version

• IP address used during access

2. Purposes of Data Use

The information collected is used strictly for operational and security purposes, such as:

• Verifying rider identity and authorizing access

• Allocating and updating delivery assignments

• Tracking delivery progress in real time (using background location tracking during active delivery sessions to keep customers and operations updated)

• Supporting financial reconciliation (e.g., Cash on Delivery)

• Enhancing rider performance and platform efficiency

• Maintaining app reliability and safety

3. Sharing of Data

Personal data is never sold. Information may only be disclosed in the following cases:

• Shared with your employer/dispatcher via the Almena Express Admin Portal to enable delivery operations and real-time transit visibility.

• Provided to regulators, law enforcement, or government agencies if disclosure is legally mandated.

4. Data Retention

Rider data is retained only for the duration required to complete operational and compliance obligations. Once a rider account is closed or employment is terminated, records may either be securely deleted or archived as per Almena Express’s internal policies.

We follow recognized security practices, which include but are not limited to:

• End-to-end encrypted (HTTPS) communication

• Authentication safeguards to prevent unauthorized access

• Role-based access control within the platform

6. User Rights

Authorized riders are entitled to:

• Request deletion of information, subject to operational/legal restrictions

All such requests should be directed to your employer or platform administrator.

7. Children’s Privacy

This app is strictly for professional use by authorized Almena Express riders. It is not intended for individuals under 13 years of age, and we do not knowingly collect information from minors.
