Design Concepts

This design is inspired by the grandeur of a traditional ballroom chandelier, the focal point of an elegant ballroom space. The heavyweight satin bodice and skirt are fully integrated and reinforced with steel boning and internal structure, creating a rigid silhouette that mirrors the chandelier’s architectural frame. Cascading chains, crystal-like embellishments, and a sculpted flared skirt echo the hanging prisms that catch and scatter light throughout the ballroom. Gold accents heighten the sense of luxury and drama, capturing the luminous opulence of a formal ballroom setting. 

This ballroom piece is inspired by the commanding presence of classical statues, particularly the Winged Victory of Samothrace, combined with the painted elegance of fresco ceilings found in grand ballrooms. The sculpted bodice reflects carved stone and winged movement, creating a powerful, statuesque silhouette. The flowing skirt mimics drifting clouds and fresco-style ceiling imagery, with gold piping trim outlining each fold to emphasize depth and motion. Together, the classical references and refined metallic detailing capture the timeless grandeur of an ornate ballroom interior.

Inspired by the grandeur of classical ballrooms and the vertical rhythm of Ionic columns, this structured pantsuit translates architectural form into wearable design. The corset bodice is engineered with coutil and steel boning, then overlaid in silk mikado to create a rigid, column-like silhouette that echoes carved stone interiors. Fully structured trousers mirror this architectural strength, featuring a silk mikado exterior layered over a stretch cotton lining to preserve sharp lines while allowing controlled movement. A full silk habotai lining throughout the bodice provides a smooth interior finish, balancing the garment’s sculptural presence with refined wearability.

This design is inspired by the dramatic elegance of grand ballroom curtains, which frame windows and stages within formal interiors. A highly structured corset built with coutil and reinforced with steel boning creates a strong foundation, symbolizing the architectural support behind the soft drapery. Flowing layers of silk fabric cascade from the bodice like gathered curtains, creating movement and depth. Gold accents and refined detailing enhance the sense of luxury, capturing the romantic and theatrical atmosphere of a ballroom setting.

Mediterranean Inlay is inspired by the sunlit architecture and ceramic tilework of the Amalfi Coast, translating coastal ornamentation into a refined summer silhouette. The bodice is constructed from embroidered silk jacquard and internally structured with boning to create a sculpted, architectural shape that contrasts the softness of the skirt. A tiered skirt in lightweight silk crepe de chine provides opaque coverage while allowing fluid movement suited for warm weather. Blue silk trim accents reference traditional Mediterranean ceramics, unifying structure and ease within a contemporary resort-inspired design.

This tailored look draws inspiration from the sunlit marina architecture and relaxed elegance of the Amalfi Coast, translating coastal refinement into a modern summer silhouette. The fitted jacket is constructed in a breathable silk–linen twill, shaped with precise seaming and finished with a discreet hook-and-eye closure with a self-fabric loop to maintain a clean, uninterrupted front. Lightweight interfacing is used strategically to preserve structure while allowing comfort in warm weather. The look is completed with linen trousers, selected for their natural texture and ease, balancing tailoring with Mediterranean effortlessness.
