Whether you're looking for freebies or just watching the way people live, it's a fun and sometimes surprising experience.

Continue on the scenic road that crosses the Kik plateau which is a beautiful area surrounded by green fields during the winter months, passing charming little villages where children play in the fields and by the roadside. You can stop at one of the small food stalls in a village for lunch and enjoy the tasty tagines and Berber omelettes on offer.

A day in the Atlas Mountains is a must when visiting Marrakech. So close and yet so different and spectacular. The walk through the winding hills and charming Berber villages is a pleasure in itself. The Asni market operates on Saturdays and is definitely worth a visit.

You'll see all sorts of things being sold there from vegetables to animals to jewelry and second hand plumbing! If you take this excursion on a Tuesday, you will visit the Tahnaoute market instead.We suggest you have lunch at Chez Momo (a small, friendly hotel and restaurant) in the village of Ouirgane.
