WE'RE PUBLISHED (And Other News)

Hello! Good evening, and good morning!

Well, it's official. Ya boi is a published author.

It's absolutely insane. But, "All is Quiet in the Cosmos" was released a few days early on July 11, 2023. So far, six days in, we've sold a total of about 16 copies, which I'm eternally grateful for.

Excited to see those Goodreads reviews rolling in and hoping that this catches fire and that I can share my book with the world.

In other news ... Perceptions Press is already promoting the sequel. So, holy shit. Ha. Gotta get cracking on that. I've definitely started but I've been so caught up in life and book release that I haven't thought about it in a hot second.

I am also going to be starting merch! So look out for that as well.

Perceptions Press

Hello! Good evening, and good morning!

BIG News ya'll. I am officially being published by a publishing firm!! HOLY SHIT! It's so exciting I might pass away. They picked me up after reading my polished manuscript and they are amazing. They are Perceptions Press, a Canadian based LGBTQ+ friendly firm who were enthralled by All is Quiet in the Cosmos. I signed, and we are OFFICIAL!

Bigger news, they feel as though they can keep my original release date of July 15th! That means that All is Quiet will be available in e-book and paperback format on July 15th! This is massive and a huge rush, which is atypical, but I appreciate that they are willing to do so, especially after my press release.

Press Release

Hello! Good evening, and good morning!

Some VERY exciting news for ya'll today ... I had my first press release! AHHHH!

It's so freaking exciting. I could explode.

I was featured with the wonderful people at Newsworthy.ai, who also distributed my press release to hundreds of other news stations. So, hopefully we start to see some awesome press coming in on that.

Self Publishing

Hello, good evening, and good morning.

So ... the book will be arriving very soon! If you follow my TikTok, you'll know that I was recently approached by a publishing firm who was very interested in publishing "All is Quiet in the Cosmos." Sadly, the deal they offered was something that would not be best for my novel, and the experience made me realize that I can do better for my book than a lot of these publishing firms are willing to offer.

It pushed me to do something about that. So, AIQITC will be available for e-release on July 15th, 2023! That's right! You'll be able to get your hands on the book very, very soon! Of course, I will still be querying in the hopes that I get a GREAT offer from someone. But, for now, I'm ready for AIQITC to be in the world.

I will be creating a sales page, where you can go to purchase the e-book. Eventually, physical copies will follow. I promise. But for now, it's more in budget to publish digitally for now.

Keep an eye out! Exciting things to come!

Long Awaited Update!

Hi everyone!

It's been awhile, I apologize for not updating this sooner. But, I've been very, very busy trying to get this off the ground!

Big news ... the book is finished and being reviewed by my editor! That's right, we're getting somewhere! My beta readers deadline is tomorrow, so using their notes and my editor's notes, I'll be finishing the final draft of "All is Quiet in the Cosmos!" So exciting.

With that news, comes some updates to my site. I will no longer be accepting beta readers (obviously), and that will become an ARC reader sign up! So, look out for that. ARC readers will be getting an early access digital copy of the book and have the opportunity to leave a Goodreads review. (Yes, I also have a Goodreads page now)

I will also begin the querying process here in about a week. AHHHHHH!!! That's insane to me, honestly. The querying process could take several months, and if I can't find an agent to pick up my book by September, I plan on self-publishing. That is definitely Plan B, but hey, it's good to have a back up.

Social media-wise, things are going slow but steady. I have over 800 followers on TikTok which is a decent amount! But, my views aren't great, so definitely tell your friends about my book!

Otherwise, that's basically it! If you are interested in becoming an ARC reviewer, or posting a review via social media, my socials are located under the Contact Me tab. If you are interested in submitting art, I have a tab for that too. Check out the awesome reviews that others have posted about AIQITC on TikTok as well.

Hope everyone is feeling good this fine, fine Monday morning. I've got a little, exciting update for you all ....

I received my first, preliminary review!

That's right, feeling pretty good over here. *insert winky face* Haha, no but for real. I am so grateful that this reviewer was willing to read an excerpt of what I have so far in order to promote, "All is Quiet in the Cosmos" for socials and for my future (hopefully!) beta readers to get pumped over.

My name is Maisie W, and I am an aspiring author. Emerson is a very close friend of mine and over the years, I have read many, many writings from them. After reading a snippet of the first draft of AIQITC, I can absolutely say it does not feel like a first draft. Emerson is so meticulous and their wording and their writing style draws you in from page one.

Initially, my first thought regarding AIQITC before reading, was eh, a dystopian. However, after reading the snippet I have, from the world building to the characters, it immediately feels like a world I can't wait to jump into!
