My name is Allison Moynihan, a current senior at Bentley University (Waltham, MA). I am pursuing a degree in marketing and experience design with a double minor in sports management and business administration.
This past December I officially wrapped my internship with the Boston Celtics as their Content & Marketing Intern. In the four months I was with them, I worked 29 hours per week doing a variety of tasks including developing Instagram content for our entertainment teams (Dance & Dunk) and did live coverage of special events outside of games. I was present at all 17 home games during this time frame, on call during every timeout to capture content of our fan engagement initiatives during these breaks. My work was featured on both the Celtics Community and Celtics Entertainment accounts respectfully.
Over the course of this past season I was the primary social media coordinator for Bentley University Division I Men's Ice Hockey team. Curating a brand voice that fit Bentley Athletics while prioritizing our athlete's personalities, I successfully created a platform that engaged our community - drawing in over 2.5 million views and 1,500 new followers (a 33% growth rate) in just 6 months. Filming primarily short form content to be distributed each week, and live story coverage to guide fans at home along through the game, our engagement saw huge improvements.
I have previously interned with ECAC Hockey, focusing on their social media and content creation. I caption all of our in-week content, while also traveling to our 12 home rinks to capture the gameday experience and bring the ECAC story to life. I am spearheading the revival of their TikTok page to develop the voice for our brand on this newer platform.
At school, I intern with Bentley Athletics as their social media coordinator for Competitive Sports. Totaling 14 teams, I photograph all home games, and capture video content outside of these events. I lead a team of three other interns to create and post engaging content to continue our page growth.
