Adobe Illustrator can used to make logos. A logo is a design/symbol/image that is associated with a certain brand. Every logo is uniquely designed for the brand it represents. Logos can appear on websites or screens, but can also be printed on paper or packaging. Public relations professionals work a lot with websites and/or social media accounts for the organizations they work for, so it is beneficial to have a logo to showcase across these platforms. For the Illustrator unit, we had to design a logo for a fictitious company. My fictitious company was called Allison Gierhahn Travel. The logo I created for this company is the outline of a sunset with my initials on either side of the sun outline.
First in Illustrator, we played around with our names to get familiar with text functions, fonts, colors, fill & stroke, and outlines.
Using the ellipse tool, straight line placments, and the text tool for my intials, I created a logo for my fictitious company that resembles an outline of a sunset (since it was a fake travel company).
Same design as above, but before the colors were applied to it (black outline).
