Digital Navigators Wanted

The Alliance for Digital Equity in Western Massachusetts is recruiting three Digital Navigator team members who will be placed in one-year, grant-funded positions at community media centers at one of the following locations: Holyoke Media, Northampton Open Media or at Pittsfield Community Television.  

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Digital Navigator. This role is crucial in bridging the digital divide within our community by providing essential support to help residents connect and thrive digitally.  Salary and benefits package will vary based on which community the digital navigator is placed in and at which of the three media centers and can be explored during the interview process. Salary range is $45k-50k.

Job Overview 

As a Digital Navigator, you will empower individuals by connecting them to resources that assist with internet connectivity, device acquisition, and digital skills training. This position is part of a regional network dedicated to digital equity and offers  opportunities for professional growth and collaboration. 

Responsibilities 

• Conduct client intake and assessments to identify digital needs and goals. 

• Research and assist clients in securing affordable internet connectivity. 

• Advise clients on acquiring affordable devices and provide training on device usage. 

• Develop and deliver digital skills training programs tailored to client needs. 

• Maintain accurate client records and generate program reports. 

• Collaborate with community partners to expand digital access initiatives. 

Qualifications 

• High school diploma or equivalent 

• Strong customer service orientation and interpersonal skills 

• Basic computer literacy and adaptability to new technologies 

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation 

• Preferred: Associate or bachelor's degree, bilingual proficiency, experience working with diverse populations
