About Me

I was born and raised in Wilkes-Barre, which is in the Northeastern part of Pennsylvania. It is home to anthracite coal and hard work. I am the first generation of my family to graduate from a higher learning institution but fell in love with the blue collar aspects of theatre. My heart lies in tech, but I also enjoy being on the stage as well. I see what we do as an amazing privilege, to make pretend for a living, and sometimes help someone have a better day, even if for a little while.

I have worked in the theatre world of Wilkes-Barre for the past 8 years, since I found my passion in this craft. I have donated volunteer time to two other local theatres in my area: Kiss Children's Theatre and Gaslight Theatre Company. I have also been the Head Carpenter at Maples Repertory Theatre in Macon, Missouri during the 2017 summer season. I returned to Maples in the Summer of 2018 as the Sound Designer/Engineer. Up until the 2020 Pandemic, I held the postion of Resident Technical Director at Riverside Center For the Perfroming Arts in Fredericksburg, Virginia. I have since retruned to the Wyoming Valley in search of the next endevour of my theatrical/technical carreer. In November of 2020 I applied to the Local 44 Sheetmetal Workers Union. I was accepted and started my apprenticeship in January 2021. I find, in times of change and adjustment that we must refocus to find skills and training that reinforces our own craft as artist while also paying the bills. Beginning in the Fall Semester of 2022, I have also began teaching at King's College in the Theatrical Department as well as hone my skills as a set designer and sound engineer/designer.

My ultimate career goal is to open up a theatrical space where we can provide  safety and security in people being their authentic self and embrace the artistic qualities of human nature. In the words of my favorite poet "some require more light than others so make extra."
