Allen Chi is a professional and philanthropist passionate about affordable housing endeavors. An advocate for ending the homelessness crisis, Allen is a firm believer in resolving this matter with compassion and action. He currently represents Atlas Bold.
When it comes to ending homelessness, Allen Chi has always believed that compassion must come first. Too often, the members of our community who live without secure housing are cast aside. They are thought of as living on the fringes of society; for that, they are neglected and ignored. Many people even take an ‘out of sight, out of mind’ perspective on the matter of homelessness. The reality is, there are many people in our communities who are homeless in silence. Their struggles are not displayed for all to see, yet they struggle to make ends meet and take care of themselves and their families.
At the base line, Allen Chi believes that it’s important to acknowledge that homelessness is experienced on a spectrum for some. Action should be quick to follow in the footsteps of that understanding. Although Allen proudly supports traditional resources targeting food insecurity (i.e. food banks, soup kitchens and community gardens), his work with Atlas Bold has focused specific attention on building affordable housing. Allen and his team are particularly adamant about pushing for policy changes that focus on ending homelessness with compassion. He looks forward to opening up the conversation on this matter in greater detail in the coming year of 2022.
