A quote I live by each and every day:
“The trick is that as long as you know who you are and what makes you happy it doesn’t matter how others see you.” I spent most of high school consumed by thoughts of whether of not i’m good enough for the people around me. I wanted to be the girl that everyone liked, the girl everyone wanted to be friends with, and the girl everyone looked up to. I wanted to fit in and even more than that, blend in. It took me so long to become content and confident in exactly the person I am. But eventually, I did it. Senior year rolled around and I became the person I should’ve a long time ago. I stopped caring about people that brought me down, classes that I wasn’t great at, and events that weren’t important. Instead, I centered my focus on what I love; my TRUE friends, family, and running. Next year I’ll be attending Belmont University to run cross country and track and I will be studying nursing. I now know I am perfect exactly the way I am and no one can take that away from me no matter how hard they try.
If I could leave Allen High School having told the senior class one thing it would be, embrace the struggle of becoming who you are, because when you finally do, it’s all worth it. Don’t be ashamed to be different. Don’t hold back because you’re afraid of fitting in. Don’t take everyone’s bull, you’re better than it. Don’t listen to the lies. And don’t you DARE, doubt how amazing you are because of people around you that are worth so much less than you will ever be.
Senior year isn’t over yet, so let’s rally and use this time as fuel to get excited for what the future holds.
Hey y’all! If you don’t know me already, my name is Jaci Walker, and as many already know, I will be attending The University of Oklahoma next fall, majoring in Anthropology: Human Health and Biology. What lies ahead of me in Norman excites me like nothing else, but there is no denying the sorrow that my 13 years at Allen could have potentially come to an end much earlier than expected.
It feels like yesterday that I was walking the two parallel hallways of Marion Elementary, playing with Audrey after school in the multipurpose room, yelling “Scorpion!” at the lunch table or “Try not to laugh-GO!”, trading silly bandz on the playground, or dumping water on my friends at Field Day. I have been an Allen Eagle since I was 8 months old. Most of my earliest memories are cheering on my Dad and his players every single Friday night (and hopefully Saturdays later in the playoffs). Being an Allen Eagle has been in my blood for as long as I can remember. There’s a bittersweet feeling knowing that that time is nearing the end. I have so much awaiting me next semester at OU, but there are sad goodbyes here that come before I get to be on campus there. I will never forget mind puzzles in Mrs. Bell’s AIM class, meeting my “sister” in Mrs. Barnes’ 7th grade math class, our Bachelor bracket in Coach Cockroft’s Freshman PALs class, or Mr. Ben’s daily dose of sarcasm. Every single teacher that has contributed to my education and character in any way holds such a special place in my heart. In the same way, each and every one of my classmates have impacted me in ways I cannot express. As a lover of knowledge and wisdom myself, nothing makes me happier than learning from those around me. I only hope that I was able to give half of what I received from my friends, peers, and classmates over the past 13 years.
COVID-19 may have taken the last of our celebrations as seniors, but it can’t take away the invaluable memories Allen ISD has given us. Thank you to each and every one of my teachers, classmates, counselors, administrators, and coaches. Truly, I wouldn’t be going where I am to do the amazing things that are before me without y’all. Thank you.
Hey, y’all! My name is Jenna Lowenberg and I will be attending The University of Texas at Dallas this fall, majoring in Healthcare Management. Though I will be staying local, I’m excited for what the future holds!
I’ve lived in Allen my entire life and my time spent from Kindergarten through my senior year has made me the person I am today. There are so many great memories that date back to ‘07 at Green! Going to such a large high school, the numerous opportunities and diversity has guided us to find ways to stand out. I’d like to think I’ve succeeded in being my unique and outgoing self, while also leaving a positive impact. One of the best parts of Allen is the people. I’ve met and become friends with so many incredible people, whose futures I know are bright. I’m so grateful for the teachers that I’ve been able to have during my time at Allen. Thank you to everyone that has been a part of my 13 years in Allen ISD, because you have all made an everlasting impact on my life.
WINGS has been a huge part of my time at AHS. I’m honored to have been selected to help pioneer the program and currently be a senior leader. I’ve been able to get to know so many positive people that have taught me so much. I was an Athletic Trainer for all four years of high school, and being on the football field every Friday night provided me with memories I will always cherish.
I know that our senior year may have taken unexpected turns, but we are a special group. We have a story that other grades can’t share. The main purpose of creating this account was celebrating us as seniors; so, let’s take this time we still have, though untraditional, and make the most of it.
Thank you all for everything. Please continue to do great things. The future is bright!
What’s up guys, it’s Chris Firch. If I could give advice to underclassmen at Allen High School right now it would be this-
1. Take advantage of the incredible opportunities AHS has to offer.
2. Enjoy the small moments. I’ve gotten to do some incredible things in high school, however right now it’s the little things that I’m missing! I miss postgame yoga sessions with the soccer team, hearing Brennan Olson say he’s a senior every morning, long (and sometimes boring) choir rehearsals, or seeing my palees and connections class. Don’t take for granted these small moments.
3. The majority of you guys will be applying for a lot of things your senior year. Whether it be colleges, scholarships, trading schools etc, there’s a good chance that you may get a rejection letter. Although this can be difficult, know that a committee reading over your application for 10 minutes does not determine your worth. Just because you don’t get into a certain school or program does not mean you are a failure, it just means you will succeed in a different light or path than what you originally thought. My future college plans are not what I originally planned as I have received a couple of rejections, however I’m still super excited for what is to come.
Lastly I just wanted to say how grateful I am for all the friendships I’ve made over the past 12-13 years, and incredible organizations I have been able to be a part of. Thank you to all my teammates and coaches at Allen Soccer for the incredible memories you guys have brought for me. I’m so happy I got to make history with you guys winning Allen’s Men’s Soccer’s first ever District Title in the 40 year programs history. As of now the rest of this year’s season is in question, but keep your head up boys. Thank you to the PALs program for the incredible opportunities this organization has brought for me and the incredible lessons I’ve learned. And thank you FCA for giving me such amazing God centered friendships, and keeping me on the right path throughout high school.
Seniors 2020, let’s keep our heads up through this chaotic time, and make the most of these next couple of months.
Hey guys. My name is Maguire Cameron and I will be attending the University of Oklahoma in the fall to study finance. I’ve lived in Allen my entire life, and I’m so grateful to have gotten to go to school in AllenISD.
Some advice I would share to younger student is to go to as many events as you can. Durning my senior year I made it a mission to go to every sporting event, showcase, play that I could attend. You won’t regret staying up a little later doing homework or to spend time with your friends supporting the many different organizations that Allen has to offer. Don’t take any opportunity for granted. Join as many different organizations that you can. I’ve been apart of PALs and it has taught me so many different things. It has really shaped me into the person I am today. Being exposed to as many different types of people from as many different walks of life can really help you understand others.
My favorite memory during my time at Allen was my sophomore year when we won a state championship. Seeing the amount of work by so many different people paying off truly shows that hard work pays off. I’m so thankful for all of the teachers, coaches, and people that have helped me through my journey at Allen HS. I hope all my fellow seniors enjoy and embrace the last few memories of our senior year. Thank you to all of you who have been a part of my journey.
Hey y’all. If you don’t know me already, my name is Megan Solis and I have an intellectual disability. I’m a senior at Allen High School. My favorite things at Allen High School is I have amazing teachers and I have amazing friends at Allen High School. My favorite memories of Allen High School are the pep rallies, the football games and the homecoming dance and the homecoming football games
My name is Noni Davidson and my next steps will be doing my basics at Collin while I hopefully am able to pursue a culinary or English degree with a minor in psychology.
To all the people who made my two years at AHS special and meaningful I thank you. From football games to choir concerts to school shows and inside jokes and lots of laughs I’m glad that my last two years of high school were in such an amazing place. I’m sorry that the year is almost over but I look forward to the next chapter of our lives while looking at this one fondly.
Hey Allen seniors! I’m Daniela Hall and I am so proud to be a part of such an amazing senior class! I will be attending the University of Arkansas this fall and I’ll be majoring in International Business- Marketing! Senior year is not over yet, but some things I will miss is being a part of the best student section ever (A UP!!!), my amazing friends and teachers who have guided me this far, and the amazing people I’ve met being a part of the PALs program! One thing I learned throughout high school was to stop caring so much about the little things like getting a bad grade and what people thought of me, but focus on the people and the friendships around me.
My favorite quote is “everything happens for a reason”: not being able to go to school has been AWFUL, but it has made me miss my teachers, my friends, and my classmates so much and value the people in my life who will make leaving AHS so hard! I hope I left a lasting impression on everyone I’ve been able to meet, talk to, and get close with at Allen High School. Juniors, sophomores, freshmen: GO to football games, GO to dances, GO have fun; these next few years will fly byyyy!
Stereotypes have definitely played a pivotal role in making me the person I am today. ever since elementary school, I remember thinking “I’m Asian, so I must play the violin; I must eat rice; & I must love math..” I hated that these split-second judgments others might make could actually be true - that whom I was could be stuffed in some stereotypical box & that that would be it. So, I guess I kind of rebelled. I butchered my practices, refused to eat certain things, & was ashamed to admit that I was good at certain subjects.. plus much, much more. It really wasn’t until my last couple of years in high school when my perspective finally changed. I met some of the most inspirational, perfect, loving friends that made me realize just how important self-confidence truly is. I found that happiness comes from an almost self-centered self-love: a disregard for trivial expectations, a confidence in knowing that it’s okay to be exactly whom you are, & most importantly, an understanding that what you think of yourself is far more important than the opinions of you that anybody else could possibly conceive. So, to all the people who have made it this far - Emilie’s first post could not be more true. It’s so easy to give into fears of judgement, failure, not being enough.. but if you embrace your passions, do the things that make you happy, & imbue into this world your authentic self, maybe you’ll finally feel the joy you bring to everyone else around you! Next year, I'll be attending Carnegie Mellon University for CS & I'm honestly not even sure if that’s what I want to do. Sometimes it feels like I made my decision off of an option that was too good to pass up, but that’s okay! I still have a lot of “finding myself” to do & I'm unbelievably ready to embrace this journey. Thank you Allen High School for all of the unforgettable moments. Senior year may not be ending in the way we wanted, but at least it’s shown the power of finding simple joys in everyday moments:)
Hey, I'm Anthony Pstrocki. I'm not here to bore you with "inspirational" talk, you can watch David Goggins for that. First and foremost high school was a blast. My friends and I had a YouTube channel that amassed over 100k subscribers and we made quite a bit of money from it, sadly the channel got deleted but it's ok we had our fun. Another great thing I did was that I ran a marathon (26 miles) in 3 hours and 34 min. All of this goes to show you can achieve anything you desire. I met some awesome people while in school. My friends Jake Campos and Kamran Khan both of which won Olympic gold medals in a call of duty tournament which was amazing. One tip from me would be to always do your homework as it will benefit you in the long run for example Jake, Kamran and I all got 1600 on the SAT as a result of doing our homework. Also the wrestlers were amazing friends and I hope to see them once more before summer, shout out to the entire wrestling team. Big shout out to everyone who went to Bolin as well, gonna miss y'all. My goal is to become the next Warren Buffet and travel to crazy places.
Hi, I’m Ainsley! My next steps are Sam Houston State University, where I’ll be majoring in Criminal Justice and minoring in French. :) I hope to become a forensic accountant later on in life. stay safe, wash your hands, and, as someone who works at a grocery store, STOP PANIC BUYING! It’s stressful.
Hey seniors!! My name is Kaitlyn Carter and I am so excited to be a Sooner next year at OU studying Biology! While I’m excited for that chapter of my life to begin, I will greatly miss calling myself an Allen eagle. I have so many amazing memories from the past 4 years being a Cheerleader and a PAL.
I have kept Isaiah 40:31 in my heart throughout my 4 years at Allen High School. It has reminded me to stay strong with the Lord no matter the adversity that you face! And I will continue to keep it close to me as I graduate. I know this isn’t how we expect senior year to go, but it is important to stay positive during this time! “But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” Isaiah 40:31
Hey y’all. My name is Amanda Miller. I have had an amazing experience at Allen High School. I’ve been a part of the robotics program since my freshman year and have blossomed into the person I am today. Robotics has taught me to overcome stereotypes and be a great leader. During my time at Allen High School I have won many awards in robotics and started a club to inspire young girls to pursue STEM. Next year I am finishing my associates degree at Collin College and then move on to UTD to major in Mechanical Engineering. I wish everyone a happy senior year and we will get through this senior year one way or another!
Hi, friends, I'm Kayleigh. I'll be attending Stephen F Austin next year to study Animal Science: Pre-Veterinary and minor in Sign Language. In high school, I had some of my best days and some of my worst. I met amazing people, got to participate in amazing activities and go to outstanding places. Ending it all early made me heartbroken. We don't know how we are going to be able to finish the last year of high school, but me personally, I am trying to spend it wisely. Being in FFA and band was one of my best decisions to make. A lot of time was spent with the 2 and it kept me busy. My advice to younger students is don't think you won't have time. I always got told that I wouldn't have time to show goats, play in band, and keep my grades up. But with staying busy and having time to myself in the ag barn helped me a lot. I kept my grades up, sometimes having to do homework in the barn or at a stock show. but I made it work. We are finishing strong even if it wasn't the way we planned when we started.
Hey y’all, my name is Harper Mayfield and next fall I’ll be attending Baylor University as a journalism major. I’ve been in Allen for my entire educational career, and I can’t imagine growing up anywhere else. I was so blessed to find my a family at AHS within the swim team. My four years representing Allen mean the absolute world to me, and the things we accomplished were nothing short of incredible.
My advice to younger students is this: make someone’s day a little better. Every day we have the chance to do something for someone else. It doesn’t have to be big. Maybe you hold the door for someone in the rain. Maybe you say hi to somebody you haven’t talked to in a while. Matthew 19:19 calls us to love our neighbors in the same way we love ourselves. It’s real easy. The smallest gesture can make the biggest impact on someone else. Loving on everybody just a little more goes a long way. I know that the relationships I’ve built at Allen will last a lifetime, and that’s more than I could have ever asked for from my time in high school. I’m so proud of the people our class has become and I can’t wait to see what we go on to do.
A Up & Sic ‘Em Bears
Hey y’all! My name is Kally DeBusk and I will be attending Collin College to study nursing! I have been living by the quote “I believe that everything happens for a reason” by Marilyn Monroe for quite a long time. This quote has definitely been on my mind a lot recently as this virus has continued to spread. God has really worked good in this “horrible” time! He has basically forced us to rest and sit down to spend time with our families. Who would actually spend months on end with only their family members without seeing anyone else? I doubt any of us. Use this time wisely and take the time to reach out virtually to your friends. When our world is back to normal you don’t want to look back on this time as wasted! You want to look back on this time and say “I did good things during that time and I am proud of that”. Take some time and realize how good this time can be, if you make it good! Changing your attitude and mindset can be life changing! Jeremiah 29:11 says “for I know the plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope”. Let that give you a forever peace and let us finish senior year strong (even if it is virtually).
Hey guys, a lot of y'all probably don't know me, but my name is Selby White. I started high school 240 lbs over weight and experienced a lot of bullying because of it. Since then I've lost my weight, I have competed in bodybuilding shows, became a certified personal trainer, but the best and scariest part of my high school life was becoming a father. Some advice I'd like to give to the underclassman would be practicing being kind and thoughtful. You never know what's going on in someone's personal life so before you give that dirty look or snarky comment take a step back and put yourself in their shoes and think about how you would want to be treated.
Hi everyone! I am Sam Potter, and I will be continuing education at Collin College to get my Bachelor’s of Applied Technology in Cybersecurity. Here are some of the many important events in my life that happened in high school:
• I recommitted my life to Christ in 9th grade
• I earned a 3.3 GPA
• I was involved in FCA and YMSL all 4 years
• I played drums in my youth worship band at Chase Oaks Church (Legacy Campus), there I joined a young men’s bible study group called the “Band of Mustaches”
•I played bass clarinet in the marching band for 2 years
• I got my big break as a drummer at the new Fellowship Church Frisco Campus in 11th grade, and in 12th I helped plant a new church called Revelation Frisco!
One thing about me is I have Asperger Syndrome, which is a mild form of autism. I came from not being able to talk at age 2 to graduating high school next month. Folks, I want you to know that there is NOTHING you can’t overcome in life if you just develop the mindset of “I CAN” instead of “I CAN’T.” This has been one heck of a journey, and today I say it was all WORTH IT!
Hey everyone I’m Trinnity Whitley and I’m on the path to go get my basics done, so I can transfer out to, hopefully, Baylor and continue to medical school. All I can say about Allen is that it’s a time of my life I’ll never forget. The work wasn’t always easy but the work didn’t matter to me what mattered was the people that made everything memorable. I’m a Varsity Choir student and all those people that made everyday day for me special because they were always around to sing something within the middle of the halls. I’m gonna miss the memories and I’m excited to make some more and make them with the same best friends and people that I made them with them through out the last 4 years . Allen thank you for making these the best years of my life.
I love you guys y’all stay strong.
Senior Quote: When you feel like quitting remember why you started in the first place.
Hey, my name is Max and I’ve lived in Allen for 18 years. The only thing I have to say is don’t let anyone tell you that you can’t do something. If you put your mind to it and believe in yourself then anything is possible. Going through high school has definitely been an experience I won’t forget. I was never the brightest kid in class and learning in school was definitely a struggle. People at school told me that I wasn’t going to go to college or be someone that had importance. Truthfully, it hurt. But I never gave up, worked hard to the be the best I could. It wasn’t over night and it wasn’t easy, but anything is possible if you believe in yourself. Don’t listen to what others have to say about you regarding appearance, athletic abilities, special talents, and how smart you are. We are all learning what we are good at and how we can become better versions of ourselves. Don’t listen to what people have to say unless it builds you up into the person you believe you can be.
I am going to be attending BYU in Provo, Utah, studying psychology. I’ve always loved helping people and I want to be able to have my own practice where I can give people therapy, diagnoses on mental conditions (such as depression or ADHD). I can’t wait to see what the future holds for me and for you guys too. Stay strong, and believe in yourself.
Hi guys, I'm Miles and I just wanted to say congratulations to all of seniors 2020! You all are such great people and we all deserve nothing less than success!
Just a little note for the underclassmen. Spend that little extra time on your studies, it's what means the most. Attend as many thing as you can like College night, Clubs, and even sports games. I really regret not going to most of these, they are some of the greatest memories that I will never get to experience. If you are a social person, find that group of people that will stick with you. You want friends that will support you no matter what. And last but certainly not least, be a good person. Dont get into drama because the truth is none of that will be a worry during your last year here, you are just going to want to leave.
Heyo, I’m Austin Cameron and I’m gonna be attending the University of Oklahoma this fall to study electrical or mechanical engineering.
I hope to continue to participate in Esports tournaments in the future and keep playing Super Smash Brothers.
My favorite memory in high school is getting to be on the WINGS Aviation Council and getting to help make the program I love so much even better.
Some advice I'd like to share is to value your time in high school because it’ll be gone before you know it. This definitely wasn’t how I was expecting senior year to go out, but this is all the more reasons to value the we still have and to stay positive. Make the most of the time y’all have join a club, if there isn’t one you’re interested in start one.
I’ve had an amazing time in Allen ISD between WINGS and Esports club I couldn’t of asked for a better high school experience.
Catch y’all on the flip side!
Hi! My name is Emma!
After this crazy rollercoaster ride of a year ends, I’ll be moving to Savannah, Georgia, to study Production Design at Savannah College of Art and Design! I’m really going to miss being an Eagle, going to Allen has created some of the best experiences I’ve ever had. I’m going to miss seeing all of my friends every day, cheering from the student section, and saying hello to my favorite teachers. However, I also cannot wait for what’s to come! I can’t believe I’m headed off to my dream school in my favorite city in September. It’s a dream come true! This might not be the end to my senior year I envisioned, but I try to make the most of it each day, whether it be family time, Facetime dates with friends, or visiting all my favorite places in Allen before I move.
Hey I'm Nick. I'm going to UT.

Hi!!! I’m Mckenna Clark and I will be attending the University of Missouri next year and will most likely be studying sports journalism! Throughout high school, I have grown so much and can finally say I am proud of the person I am today! I spent the majority of my high school career believing that I wasn’t good enough and trying to measure up to the people around me when it came to academics, athletics, looks, body image, and so much more. I prioritized how I looked on the outside and how people perceived me. I wanted to be the prettiest, most popular, smartest, and most talented. It wasn’t until this year after I tragically lost a beloved teammate, that I learned that the only thing that truly matters in this world is what’s on the inside. This year I solely focused on making people feel loved. With a school as big as Allen it is so easy for our peers to feel lonely or invisible. So be the one that makes them smile. Be the one who waves at them in the hallway. Be the one who helps them with their homework. The littlest things can go such a long way. Don’t hesitate to reach out to others who may not be included. Don’t let your pride get in the way of hanging out with someone who is different than you. So many times I have let my ego or my fear of “not being cool'' get in the way of making someone’s day and I think that’s why I’m so passionate about this. Going home and knowing that you could have made a difference in someone's world but didn’t is probably the worst feeling. Spread kindness and be a friend to everyone because you never know what someone is going home to. Live each day as if it were your last and love everyone as if it were their last. And remember, everything on the outside is temporary but what’s on the inside is everlasting. #LLM , MIZ, and as always, A-up! ♥️
Hi I’m Kiah!
I can not believe this chapter of my life is ending. It’s been a rollercoaster of a journey! Throughout my four years of high school at Allen, I leaned heavily on my family and best friends for support, guidance, and encouragement (thank you!!). As part of my advice for my dear underclassmen I would highly suggest that you all do this same.
Be hopeful. Hope is not foolish. It’s not naive. Optimism dose not contradict realism. Positivity is not dumb, it is not a weakness. As a matter of fact, it is one of the greatest strengths one can possess. Leaders are those that imagine a truly good thing in a dream and have the faith to see it become a reality. The world can be dark and looming and ugly. But the world can also be soft and beautiful. Those who maintain good faith overcome the darkness of the world to see its light.
Seek wisdom. My mother shares her knowledge and life experiences with me so that I don’t make the same mistakes she has made. She always has my best interest at heart and loves me unconditionally, even when I don’t see it. She sees things about me that I can’t see. She recognizes the signs that I am oblivious to. She’s been 18 before and she knows what I’m going through. I would not be who I am nor would my life be going in the direction that it is with out her leading me by the hand. Thank you, Mommy.
I hope to have been a kind of “mother” to my mentees and students during my time as a student leader at Allen. To my peers, students, teachers and friends at Allen, you have impacted me far more than you know. I am grateful to you all.
I have been accepted by and plan to attend Southern Methodist University in Dallas. My long term goal is to earn my doctorate in Psychology, to be certified in the state of Texas in marriage counseling and family therapy, and to establish my own independent practice serving young people and their families in the DFW area.
Again, I thank my family and friends for showering me with love, truth, comfort, and guidance. You are my sunlight in the storm, my rain in the drought. Above all, I give thanks to the Almighty Creator who makes it all possible and who knows my every need.
Hi everyone, my name is Valentina Hall! I am so excited to be going to the University of Arkansas in the fall to study International Business with a double minor in Spanish and Psychology. Not only will I be starting my new journey as a Razorback, but I will never forget my years as a Marion Maverick and a Curtis Cougar. I want to thank all of my teachers for pushing me to be the best student I can be, as well as all the people that I have met along the way.
As I look back onto my senior year, I wasn’t always the one that had the biggest group of friends or the one that got invited to everything. I became so focused on the opinions that people had about me to where I let my shyness and insecurities take over my ability to put myself out there. I felt as if having those aspects in my life would make my senior year better or that it would make me feel fulfilled, but I soon realized that those things don’t define who you are. It doesn’t matter the quantity of the people around you, but rather the quality. I truly can say that I have met my forever best friends during my high school years and for that, I am so grateful for the time that I have had here at Allen High School. Don’t take these relationships for granted and enjoy every second of high school because before you know it, you will be looking back and thinking how fast the time has gone. A-UP always!!!
HEY FRIENDS! My name is Carley Summerall, and I will be attending Liberty University to study Healthcare Administration. Attending schools in Allen my whole life has been truly a blessing, it’s set me up with a great foundation and life long friends. I think one thing I learned through high school is to stay true to yourself. There are so many people that go to our school and so many different things you can do, that you should never have to compensate. Whether that’s finding more positive people or a new sport/activity. It’s important to know yourself and where you stand.
A verse that I lived on for high school is Micah 6:8, it’s says, “to act justly, love mercy, and to walk humbly.” I know this is not how we expected to end our senior year, just know we have no control so instead of being upset, find joy in this time use it to be grow and form intentional relationships with family and friends. Hope everyone is well and healthy!
Hey there! I’m Laurel and I’ll be heading to University of Arkansas in the fall to study elementary education :)! My advice to underclassmen is to not take things too seriously. It’s so easy to get wrapped up in every little thing, and it’s so important to remember to step back and take a breath and remember how temporary every moment is. Maybe you’re not ready for a test, who cares it’s one test, in a month you won’t remember it. What you will remember is the friendships you made and the people who’s lives you had the privilege of stepping into. Another piece of advice I would give is to stop looking for that perfect high school experience. If you were anything like me and watched a ton of coming of age films way too young I’m sure high school is seeming a bit boring or like you’re missing out on what’s supposed to be the best time of your life. You’re not. Don’t devalue the amazing moments you’ve had just because they weren’t scripted. Romanticize you’re own life, because there’s so much good in the small things, which you’ll end up taking with you the rest of your life.
Congrats class of 2020, not what we expected but doesn’t mean it can’t still be great!
Hey everyone! My name is Sawni Bhatt and I’ll be attending Fordham University in the Bronx for Sociology this Fall. It’s heartbreaking knowing that our senior year has been stolen from us as we’ve worked so hard to get to this point in our journey. As someone who has struggled with mental health severely for the past five years, knowing that i’m simply alive to be a senior brings me feelings of accomplishment and pride. But I can’t help feeling angry at the world for taking away our prom, our graduation, our senior trips, and our final memories. Once I move to New York, there’s no coming back to Texas, since my family will be moving as well. Not only has the corona virus taken a toll on our time with friends and loved ones, but it may take away my final goodbyes. By no means do I mean to downplay the lives COVID-19 has stolen, but we’ve all earned the right to grieve. Nevertheless, here’s to us all thriving, growing, and learning from this experience with the mindset that this too shall pass. I’m sending my love to you all and your families. Remind yourselves that we are strong when we are united (at a distance, of course!) Fall 2020 will bring great new opportunities for us, and I for one can’t wait to experience them. Mwah
Hey Guys! My name is Gene Hamm III. I'll be starting Collin in the spring of '21 for Business, but first I must earn something very close to my heart and that's the title of Airman. On October 17, I enlisted in the Air Force Reserves so I could go to college and begin my track to become an officer, and to help me out I joined the Civil Air Patrol and I'm the first Eagle Scout in my family. If there's something that I can take away from my time from high school I must use a military saying. Us boys in the force often say, "Suck the suck." Meaning if there ever be a challenge ahead of you, bite down and do it. Ecclesiastes 9:10 say's, "Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might, for in the grave, where you are going, there is neither working nor planning nor knowledge nor wisdom." Have fun in life, also tell your parents I said thank you for paying for me to go to college for free. Best of luck to y'all!
Hey, everyone, I’m Damiana Gugliotta!! Next year I will be attending Texas Tech University as a marketing major. Throughout high school you may have known me as the girl who constantly got herself involved in everything she possibly could at Allen, or you may have not😅. Either way, I have made sure to make the most of my high school experience and I am very proud of my accomplishments. I have been a part of the Allen Tallenettes (where I serve as the senior social officer), Chorale Choir, Encore Show Choir, DECA, and Eagle Edge at different parts through my high school career. I am also a part of a philanthropic organization called NCL, which is a mother-daughter charity league, and I got to serve as president my senior year. This is just a summary of all the things that I have been apart of, but don’t worry I won’t make what I have to say even longer😂. One of my most cherished memories was being crowned homecoming queen and it was so fun getting to do it with amazing people. This experience, as well as many others, have taught me that if you work hard enough and set a goal for yourself, you will be able to achieve it. Most importantly, you can’t let negative people win and try to take you down and one thing to learn from high school is not everybody is going to want to be your friend. I have definitely learned this the hard way and it has made me stronger. A message that I want people to understand is to never listen to what people have to say about you, because in the end they are just words and they don’t have any power over you. Go out and make the most of your senior year because you never know what may happen. 💜 #seniors2020
Hey everyone! My name is Meredith and I’m an Allen High School senior! I’ll be attending UNT for business in the fall and maybe doing other stuff from there. I’ve been going to Allen since Kindergarten, and I’ll definitely miss it. Even with ups and downs during my senior year (especially with school being closed), it’s overall been amazing. I’ve met so many close friends in Allen, many who I hope to continue seeing even after we graduate. It’s been an amazing year and I hope everyone is doing well during this time. SENIORS 2020, WE GOT THIS!
Hi seniors, I’m Izzy Deaver! Next year I am going to be going to Collin to help save some money for college and for an easy transfer of my dc credits. After that, I’m going to be moving to Utah to go to Utah State and room with my best friend. I was really bummed about staying home an extra year because I wanted to finally be independent and live on my own, but I know this will save a lot of money for my parents in the end, and I can continue nannying for my two sweet little girls that I get to pick up from school everyday. I know this will be a great opportunity for me to save money as well as I won’t have to pay rent or buy groceries, so if this is an option for you, don’t be afraid to take it because I know a lot of other people that are doing it too! High school has been such a roller coaster for me. I went through a lot of friends and different programs trying to find who I am. Obviously I am still growing and learning, but I do feel like I have a good idea of who I am now. Something I want to pass on to younger grades is that trying new things as a teenager is a really great way to figure out what you like. I was a dancer for 10 years and on Tallenettes for two years, and although I love to dance and made so many friends, it just wasn’t the path for me. I never regret being on that team, but I’m really grateful I decided to quit because I have been so much happier without it. Quitting gave me time to have a job, and now I nanny to the sweetest family and teach dance at my old studio to some really amazing kids. I cant wait to graduate (hopefully in person), but I have made so many great memories that I know I’ll never forget.
A-UP forever 🎓
Hey y’all, my name is Cade Stevens and I will be studying business at Texas A&M University next year. I’ve lived in Allen for most of my life and I’m gonna miss it greatly. I’ve been a part of multiple organizations throughout high school and I’ve made many friends that I love and will miss. I’ve made many relationships while being apart of the swimming and cross country that will last a lifetime. These last 4 years have meant everything to me and I’m so lucky that I’ve been able to attend such an amazing high school. Our senior year was supposed to be one of the most memorable times of our lives that we can always look back to. I haven’t had the best year so I was hoping to end the year on a good note, but sadly it doesn’t seem to be going that way. I know everyone feels the same way and hopes to be able to finish our year happily. I know our class can make sure we do by staying positive and supportive to one another. One last thing I wanna say is what I’ve learned throughout the past few years. You never know what somebody around you is struggling with. Whether this person is your friend or someone you just met. Everyone deals with something no matter who they are. Always be kind to those around you. I’m so proud of everyone in our class and I wish everyone the best.
Hello, I'm Cate Schmieg.
After graduating from Allen, I will be starting off my college life at Collin. I plan to do my basic classes there and then transfer to Sam Houston State University. At SHSU I will be studying Criminal Justice and Forensic Science so that I can pursue a career as a serologist.
2020 has been a crazy year, with many ups and downs. We've had the smoke bomb, the lock-out from the gunman, and now the cornoavirus. Yet, this hasn't stopped us- some how. Just make sure to keep up with school work, and to wash your hands. And to keep up with mental health, please remember:
"your happiness doesn't depend on others. You make yourself happy," - My Mom.
When times are tough and you find it hard to smile, know that life does eventually get better. There can be so many things to look forward to, even the small things: like a bowl of ice cream!
So keep pushing through and have a blessed and happy life!
Hi everyone! My name is Maude Boutin and in the fall I will be attending the University of Texas at Dallas to study 3D animation. Though I have not lived here my whole life I am proud to call Allen my home as well as honored to have been a part of the Allen Swim Team these past four years.
In such a fast paced world it is easy to forget how good we have it. Many of us now are looking back and regretting taking the past months of school for granted, I know I am. Although this has been difficult to accept, on the more positive side, I feel like it has allowed all of us to find a deeper appreciation for the little things. It puts into light the simple luxuries we never thought twice about, like getting help from a teacher as quickly as you raise your hand, seeing friends everyday in person, or even just being able to leave the house for reasons other than going to the grocery store. The time lost and events canceled to this virus are irreplaceable yet I am forever thankful for all the amazing people I have had the opportunity to meet and will always cherish these unforgettable memories.
Stay safe y’all & A-UP!
Hey everyone my name is Kennedy Pickering and I will be attending the University of Colorado Boulder double majoring in Marketing and Women and Gender studies. I know two very different majors and if I am being honest I don’t know why I picked them.
Ever since I was a little girl I thought that I knew what I wanted to be. In kindergarten I wanted to be the next Hannah Montana a pop star. In first grade I wanted to be the first president/ first female president. Then in high school I knew what I was good at and well that was talking peoples ears off so I wanted to be a Radio turned television talk show host. If I could tell my younger self anything I would tell her to be more in moment. Stop looking towards the future and looking back to the past. And that is what I applied going into my senior year and this has been the best year ever. Every person I met and all the people I got to reconnect with and becoming life long friends with. Thank you.
hey seniors! my name is hailey baker, and after graduation my plan is to work work work. throughout my 12 years of school i have learned a lot about myself, like for instance how school isn’t really for me and how THATS OKAY! i always thought that going to college was required to make it out in the “real world” but it’s not. sure it can open a lot more doors for you in the job world. sure you will learn a lot and experience a lot of exciting new things and maybe meet forever friends but if you’re not happy then what’s the point? (in my opinion) i always thought i had to follow in my sisters footsteps and go to college, get good grades, etc. but it took me years to realize i’m not her. i’m not the perfect straight A student and i’m not as social as she is but that doesn’t mean i matter any less. i can do as much as she can if not more if i set my mind to it and work my hardest for it. i struggled a lot through high school. i had my small group of friends and always looked up at the “jocks” and the “populars” because i wanted to be them. as pretty as the girls were and stuff like that. i was downplaying myself and shook my own confidence. i learned the hard way that i am my own person and can do everything they can do, if not more. the hardships that i have faced from 4th grade on have helped shaped me into who i am today and have made me as strong as i am today. don’t let anyone tell you that you HAVE to go to college because you don’t. it may be “frowned upon” but you can always go back later and finish! you can work, and you can still be happy and live your best life! i’m not sure what i want to do yet but that’s okay. because once i can figure it out, i can always go back to school and get the degree i need to do what i want to do. being an allen eagle these past 4 years has helped me grow and become a better person and i will always look back and be thankful for being able to go to such a wonderful school(:
Hello my name is Hayleigh Hale-Haggard. I will be attending Kansas Wesleyan University to major in business. I will also be going there to continue my bowling career! My senior has been filled of crazy moments, that I will never forget. I have lived in Allen most of my life and will miss it a lot when I go off to college. Allen has taught me so many things. I have been part of the Allen escadrille since 9th grade and I will say I will miss the escadrille. I will miss supporting the football team and our halftime shows. Ever since this virus hit us, it had made me realize that I took my senior year for granted and how much I wanna go back to school. I have look forward to my senior year for 12 years and now that we are seniors it has been crazy and not what I expected. It’s heartbreaking to know that our senior year has been stolen from us after all the hard work we put into it, but we will get through this together!! A-up
Hey everyone!! My name is Sarah Ahmadi and I’ve been blessed with the opportunity to sign with Tarleton State University to compete in track and field next year! Allen High School and this community has been such a huge part of my journey, but I’m not going to pretend like my years of high school were great, or that I loved every moment, because truly I was broken. I lost friends, I lost hope, I suffered serious injuries, I was told I wasn’t good enough to compete at the next level, yet alone D1, I battled to get out of bed and look in the mirror before going to school, and I distanced myself from everyone. Yet even in this brokenness, when I felt myself drowning, God showed His love for me and rescued me. He put me in situations to grow and to share my testimony, surrounding me with the beautiful souls of friends, teachers, coaches, and teammates that embody His love. I’m forever thankful for y’all. He reminded me that every breath is a gift and an opportunity to make someone smile and feel loved. He did NOT “take” our senior year from us, it was never actually “ours”. He’s the one who died so we could live! Everything else, every laugh, every Friday Night Lights, every pep rally with your friends is a GIFT from Him. Remember those good moments...that was Him! He’s in the business of making things good, so we can be confident that He’s got this covered too. May we never return back to how we were before this season, but rather return with a new perspective and appreciation for all the little things. For the ones who read all this and for the ones who skimmed through it, you are so loved.
Hey everyone! I’m Jonathan Chung and next fall I will be attending Texas A&M University and running on the Cross Country and Track team as well as studying Kinesiology to hopefully become a Physical Therapist. This year has been interesting to say the least and while it isn’t going the way all of us planned, I know that everything happens for a reason. I’m extremely grateful for the past 4 years of highschool and all of the relationships I’ve made along the way. All of the friendships have shaped me into the person I am today and I wouldn’t trade my time in Highschool for anything. My favorite moments would have to be walking the field for Homecoming Court as well as breaking the school record for 5K in cross country. I know that these times are tough for everyone especially for those who are extroverts and see their friends more often than not, but, we’ll all get through this together. Gig ‘em!
Hey fellow Allen eagles my name is Molly Heisler and I will be attending Collin community college after I graduate. I’ve lived in Allen all my life and it’s been fun. But what i wanna remember from the four years being at Allen High School is the friendship I’ve made. Good and bad because they all shaped me into the person I am today and I couldn’t be more thankful. I know people say high school is only a little bit of your life but I know I’ll always remember my time in Allen. And what I’d like tell younger grades is to get yourself involved in many different activities and club in high school. Because that’s one thing I regret and I wish I had done. But class of 2020 were strong and you can make it through this together. Just remember you’re never alone. And even though COVID-19 took our senior year away in a blink of an eye we’re invincible.
Hey! My name is Edward Ullman and in the fall I will be attending Texas Tech university majoring in law. I’ve lived in Allen the better part of 11 years, and I am grateful to have met so many people and made so many lasting memories. While this semester has been a rollercoaster to say the least, I am grateful for the time I did get to spend with all of my friends. Growing up in Allen has blessed me with so many opportunities to learn and grow, and to come out of my comfort zone. I am especially grateful for the opportunity to run track and the many memories I made during the season. As we go on our separate ways, my advice to everyone is to keep your head up and keep a good attitude in everything you do! Wreck em!
HOWDY y’all!! For those of you who don’t know me, my name is Sam!! I will be attending the University of Kentucky or Texas Tech this fall to study human health sciences, undergrad., to move into physical therapy, grad.!! Let me start by saying WOW - class of 2020, we are a force to be reckoned with! The constant pride coming from all seniors is amazing, and I’m so proud to be in this class! With all the craziness going on right now - the struggles, heartbreak, let downs, and all around disappointments, it’s so easy to be discouraged. We’ve been told to keep our heads held high. to move on. To look to the future and be glad for what’s coming. I want to tell you that I think it’s okay to grieve this time. It’s okay to be frustrated. I know I am! I’ve had a hard time making sense of this time. And upon losing so much, it’s hard to get back up at full speed. But I think this class is in the position that it is because we’re strong. We’re built for this. It’s a challenge we’re trying to overcome. And I think breakthrough is coming! Allen has been my home from the beginning. From Olson, to Curtis, to crusty, rat infested Lowery. There are so many memories. For me, those memories come from band, FCA, PALs, softball, and various youth group events. Whether it’s a sport, fine art, club... it’s been a part of your life! Don’t let that stop now! Keep it there - keep those memories alive. Use this situation to celebrate what opportunities HAVE been presented. And Allen has a TON of them! We have been afforded an amazing school district! Philippians 4:7 says this, “do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God, and the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” That has pushed me to believe that good things are coming. We don’t understand. But there is beauty rising from the death, darkness, and destruction our world is facing right now. Let that encourage you this week! I love and miss you all dearly, my heart goes out to every single senior.
Class of 2020: A-UP forever!
-Sam Nicholson
Hi everyone! My name is Brooke Bernier, and I will be attending the University of Denver this fall to study Engineering and Spanish. I have lived in Allen most of my life, and I am so grateful to have been able to attend such a wonderful school. I have learned so much through great opportunities and fun memories here. I loved being a part of the swim team for the first 3 years, attending all the fun sporting events, and getting to know so many great people throughout the years. Some advice I would like to give underclassmen is to be outgoing! Life is so much more fun when you’re not shy to talk to new people. You never know who you might meet! Although I am so sad that our senior year was cut short, I truly believe that there is light at the end of the tunnel. We might not be able to see it now during this hard time, but something great is just around the corner for all of us. So let’s power through this and make the most of our time left in Allen once we are able to! It has been such a pleasure to be a part of Allen High School, and I will never forget my years here. I wish the best to all the seniors as we open the next chapter of our lives. A-UP forever!
Hi everyone, I’m Victor Baez and I will be attending Colorado School of Mines to study engineering.I’m not exactly sure what field but I am interested in Civil or Chemical engineering. I played soccer for Allen for three years and my favorite memory is from Senior Night last year. I scored in the JV game and Varsity clinched their first ever district title. My favorite memory from school is being able to talk about Nicaragua in my AP English lang class and in my Spanish classes throughout high school.
Though that has been fun, I have struggled a lot with social anxiety. While it has limited my ability to socialize and express myself at school, I recently have found some solace in poetry. Here is one of the poems I wrote about our situation titled "At the Journey’s End."
At the end of the long and winding road
a journey ends.
Another begins
at the dawn of disaster, but
from leveled livelihoods
We Rise
Al final del viaje,
viajamos al pasado
recordando y reflexionando
de nuestras vidas y relaciones
con los seres queridos.
También miramos al futuro
para brillar una luz
en la oscuridad
Hey y’all! My name is Austin Fitch and I will be studying Civil Engineering at The University of Texas at Austin next fall. I’m blessed for all the friends and memories I’ve made during my time at Allen and it’s something I will cherish forever. One important thing I’ve learned the last four years is that others will forget what you said or did, but they won’t forget how you made them feel. I wanted to share this because it’s helped me make long lasting friends and I believe it is something that will help us all on our journeys after high school. Although our senior year ended early, I am proud of all the amazing things we’ve accomplished and will accomplish! Thank you all for making it a great senior year and I wish y’all the best!
hey guys! My name is Anna Baggett and I will be continuing my education studying sports psychology at Texas Tech University! I moved to Allen the summer before freshman year coming from my graduating class of 22 student. Let me tell you it was a huge change. But since I’ve lived here I’ve had the best time meeting amazing people that I never would have met in East Texas. For the incoming seniors I want to tell y’all to take advantage of every opportunity you have. Don’t worry about doing something crazy because you’re scared to be embarrassed. Just do it or you’ll regret it! Go to the football games, go to as many sports events, or any school activity you can. Allen has opened my mind to new ideas and opportunities I never thought I would have. Thank you Allen high school for helping me be the person I am today. Thank you to my classmates for welcoming me my freshman year and allowing me to get to know you and becoming friends with you.A-UP.
Hey guys, my name is Ryan Layton. I had a great 4 years with all of you and enjoyed every minute. I’m gonna miss dressing out Friday nights and see y’all in the stands supporting us! I’ll be serving my country in the US Marine Corp, it’s always been a dream of mine to be in the military wish me good luck in boot camp. 🅰️🆙🦅
Hey guys! My name is Camille Baker. I will be attending the University of Oklahoma in the fall! I plan on majoring in Human Health and Biology! Growing up in Allen, I really struggled with trying to find myself. I never felt like I belonged in a certain friend group and always looked at myself in a very negative way, I was just so lost. It was not until high school, when I allowed myself to get out of my comfortable zone and join the PALs/ WINGS program. So many amazing people have pushed and supported me to be the best version of myself! It taught me to be more confident, responsible and overall happier in life. Another huge part of my life was band. I’m not going to lie to you, band was hard. It was very time consuming and was the main cause for a lot of my mental breakdowns lol. But It was worth it. I have met some of my best friends through this program. Getting to see them everyday makes me enjoy coming to band, laughing, crying, and cheering together has been such a blessing. Overall, I have grown in so many ways by allowing myself to branch out and trying new things. Although this wasn’t the senior year that we expected, I have faith that He has a plan. This will get better, hang in there. So thank you, Allen High School, for all the memories! I will be forever grateful to call myself an Allen Eagle! I hope you are all doing well and staying safe! Seniors 2020💕
Howdy everybody, my name is Jantzen Fitch, also know as JP. Many of y’all probably don’t know who I am as I only talked to a few people. Regardless, I wanted to share with everybody what I will be doing in the future and the reason why. In the the last year I was admitted into the ICU at Plano Children’s hospital where my hobby to learn the Japanese Language became my passion. Because of this I’ve decided to attend the University of Arkansas for International Business and Japanese language with the Sakura Network in hopes to pursue my dreams of travel while being able to develop my skills in foreign language and photography. I plan to live this dream out by studying abroad and doing a foreign exchange to a University in Japan.
Here’s a quote that means a lot to me,
“A K I R A M E N A I Y O”
I also want to thank my twin brother, Austin Fitch, for everything he’s done for me and for sharing our high school experience together.
What’s up! I’m Griffin Colver and I’m going to attend Syracuse University to major in business. Man it’s been a wild ride at Allen but time moves on. Thankful for all the memories and people high school has brought me over the past 4 years. I wouldn’t trade the experience for anything in the world. I’m thankful I was able to play on the basketball and lacrosse team because I met some guys that are going to be brothers for life. As we move on don’t get caught up with big things but enjoy the little things in life. If something tough comes along your path then overcome it! You are going to face challenges in life but it’s how you respond to those challenges that make you the person you are. Trust in who you are as a person and don’t let anyone change you. Sometimes you have to go through difficult times to get to the good times. If you work hard and believe in yourself then there is no one to stop you from accomplishing your goals. Don’t take any moment for granted! Spend time doing things you enjoy with your friends and family because you never know how long it’s going to last. It’s hard to sum up what Allen has given me these past 12 years but I know I’m not going to forget it.
Thanks to everyone who has made this year memorable!
Hey everyone! I’m Ian Poynter and I’m excited to be attending Texas A&M to study engineering in the fall. I’ve gone to school in Allen since kindergarten, and I’m so thankful for all the opportunities that I’ve had here. I am fortunate to have had the opportunity to play for the Allen Eagles Hockey team since eighth grade, and I’m thankful for all of the memories and amazing teammates I’ve met over the years. From winning the varsity championship sophomore year to qualifying for nationals my senior year, it’s been an amazing ride. I’m also thankful for the PALS program at Allen. Being a four year PAL is something I’m really proud of, and many of my closest friends I’ve met through the program. My time at Allen has made me the person I am today, and to all of the people who have made an impact on me, no matter how small, thank you! I’m so excited for the next chapter of our lives, and I hope that all of us get the senior year summer we’ve all been waiting for! SKA 2020!!
Hello AHS seniors! My name is Amelia Landry and I will be attending the University of Oklahoma in the fall. I have no clue what my major will be but that is ok!! College is about learning along the way. And, much like college will shape me, Allen High School has too. That’s why I decided to finally submit something to this page. Without a doubt Allen High School has made me a better person. Having been in choir for four years and show choir for two, I learned how to overcome fear of being in front of others, and more importantly to put my own wants aside for the betterment of the whole group. I learned leadership in being an officer in the French Honor Society, and gained a lot of work skills in being a volunteer for the SPCA, which I would not have signed up for without NHS.
Needless to say, I really appreciate this school and the people I met through it, and it makes me so saddened to have prematurely come to this realization because of the current situation. If any juniors are reading this, please enjoy your last year and let yourself have fun. The college application process is exciting and can make you want to just graduate already, but it’s vital to appreciate what you have now just as equally. A-UP :)
My name is Jorge Amiri Bocarando, and I will be attending Collin College to study Graphic Design and Education.
I want to become a professor and not just teach people how to draw but to help them grow as an artist and a person. I also want to instal my own gallery and start my own little company.
Anyway, after everything I’ve gone through in these last 4 years, I look back and I just remember the good stuff.
AHS turned my life around and gave me so much inspiration, thanks to all my teachers I was able to figure out what I wanted to do in life. I’m not kidding when I say that I will not be where I am right now if it wasn’t for AHS.
This school gave me some of the best friends to create memories with and who I will love forever. I’m so happy and proud for everyone because I know they’re going to do amazing things.
To anyone reading this I want to say, don’t forget to smile, don’t worry about the little things that are not going to matter in 5 months, look at the bright side of things and live your life to the fullest.
I strongly believe that the point in life is to be happy, You are the most important thing in your life and if you’re not happy then you’re not doing it right.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for everything and good luck seniors.
Love, Jorge.
Hey guys. My name is Kyle Austin. I will be attending OSU to study mechanical engineering after graduation. While high school did go by fast, I wouldn’t change anything about it. I’ve met a lot of good people and made some great friends. I’m very happy with my achievements so far and look forward to the journey ahead of me!
Hey guys, I’m Julie Giron! This upcoming fall I’ll be attending Collin for a year and transfer the following year to get my major in nursing. I’ve been in Allen my entire life and I’m so glad I get to call this home. Allen has brought me so many memories and friends that I will never forget. Throughout high school, it’s been a heck of a roller coaster and I never thought I would be the person who I am today. Through freshman year I was always known as the shy girl who really didn’t talk to anyone besides their small circle of friends, but as time went on and being more involved in leadership and colorguard I finally broke out of that bubble and that brought me so many opportunities. One thing I would say that high school has taught me is to be yourself and not be afraid to do something new because you never know where that new opportunity might take you. During this time I definitely say things do happen for reasons and I really hope everyone sees this lost time as senior as something positive even though we’re having most but not all things cancelled. We’re probably not getting the ending that we actually wanted as seniors but I guess we will never be forgotten. Stay safe SENIORS 2020! A-Up🤍
•Post Grad Plans: Clinical Laboratory Science Major at Baylor University and then medical school to become a clinical pathologist.
•Senior Quote: “How lucky I am having something that makes saying goodbye so hard” -Winnie the Pooh
•Advice: I’m gonna put another quote because Dr. Seuss is more inspiring than I’ll ever be. “Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened.”
•Favorite Memory: Pulling an all-nighter with my friends for no reason, then going to school the next day. Yes, I fell asleep in my car after my last class of the day ended.
Hi everyone! My name is Jasmyn, and I plan on attending the University of Mary-Hardin Baylor and majoring in Pre-Physical Therapy in the fall! My time at Allen High School has been cut short but to say the least I have made the most fun memories with the best people by my side! I’m so thankful for everyone and everything that has happened these past four years at Allen. Even though most of the time I thought I had to fit in with everyone and be the prettiest, I have come to find out that just being myself is the best possible thing to do and probably the best thing to do. Overall, Allen has taught me so many important lessons in which I will use my entire life. To all the seniors, keep your head up and we will get through this and end up being stronger than ever, and finally Go Cru!💛
Hey guys, I’m Jackson Kirksey. I have been attending Allen schools since 6th grade and I am ready to further my education at Brown University to receive my PHD in neuroscience. I have made incredible memories at Allen High School, and I want to personally thank all of my teachers and classmates for making my school life so enjoyable. I hope to become a neuroscientist, but if not, then my backup plan is to pursue a career in hip hop music. I hope you all find happiness in your lives, as happiness is what is most important of all. “Never let those who bring you down prevent you from having a happy life.” - George Wallace, former governor of Alabama
Hey everyone, I'm Ryan Lelsz. For those of you who don't know me, I was the DJ for the pep rallies during junior and senior year. I am very passionate about gaming and sharing music I like with other people, which is why I decided to DJ for Allen High. Next year, I'll be attending Stephen F. Austin State University and I'll be majoring in Mass Communications with a concentration in Radio and Television. I've lived in Allen, Texas all my life with my spectacular family and I have made some truly amazing friends during my time in Allen ISD. I don't really get the chance to tell them this, but I love them with all my heart. They have made my school experience an unforgettable one and I'll never forget them for that. I hope I can continue being friends with all of them in the future. Senior year has definitely been a challenging time for me. One of my favorite teachers left for a job in Farmersville and my schedule was messed up due to a miscommunication, causing me to miss out on a class I really wanted to take. The COVID-19 outbreak was basically icing on the cake. Hopefully we can all come together at prom and graduation like normal and we can continue on with our lives. Hope to see you all there! :)
I would like to keep my goals and aspirations private, but just know I wanna paint a path for future generations, though I will end with this. They say that when you grow up, something inside you dies, I'm still not sure if that's good or bad. When you're a child, shadows seem darker and light seem brighter, everything is more terrifying and more exciting at the same time.
Hi y’all! I’m Erin Kim and I will be attending the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas :-) One advice that I think is so important is to live with no regrets. We are surrounded by so many opportunities especially at a school as big as Allen High School. Whether it is going to a football game or joining a club, it is so important to do everything that YOU want to do. Don’t be scared to put yourself out there! High school may seem like a long 4 years but it goes by sooo quickly so try everything you want to try! One main thing that I learned throughout my senior year is that I am not alone. Going through senior year, I was stressed out at times. I wanted to take on all my problems by myself because I didn’t want to reach out to other people. But I learned that there are soooo many people who WANT to help and who WANT to be there for you. Don’t go through high school alone! You’ll always have your friends with you and your teachers! The teachers at Allen High School are always willing to be there for you and talk to you, even if you aren’t going through anything! Don’t be scared to reach out to them! I can’t imagine what my senior year would be like if I didn’t have my teachers by my side (shout-out to Mr. Mountain and Señor Kauffman 💖).
Thank you to everybody who has been by my side and thank you to the class of 2020 for being the best class ever! It has been a blessing being your Senior Class President :-).
Hi everyone! My name is Hannah Clark and in the fall I will be attending Collin College for two years, then transfer to Texas Tech University to major in community, family, and addiction sciences. I moved to Allen, TX my junior year and it has been the best 2 years! Thank you to Allen High and everyone I met along the way for all the wonderful memories. I will cherish them forever.
A quote I live by each and every day would be “you may not end up where you thought you were going, but you will always end up where you were meant to be...” -Unknown
Throughout the chaotic period we are facing, I am happy and grateful for all the quality time that I have spent with my family during this tough time. I understand that our senior year was sadly cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but we as a class have a chance to turn this negative situation to a positive one. We can all do this by continuing to spend quality time with our loved ones and hold on to those moments before we face the next chapter in our lives! I pray that everyone is staying safe and healthy! A-Up forever!
Hey everyone, I’m Landry Webb and I’m going to be attending Texas A&M University to study Business Finance. I came to Allen in 8th grade, and I am so thankful that I was given that opportunity. Obviously, this year didn’t go according to plan. I’ve tried to be optimistic about the whole situation, but we did get some of our best senior memories taken away from us. For me, I’m a super busy person so this sudden change hasn’t been easy on me mentally. I’m used to always having a strict schedule with things to look forward to everyday and now I have more time than I know what to do with, which can be scary sometimes. However, my friends and family have helped me so much, and I have been so much more appreciative of all the little things we took for granted before. I am so much more thankful for the friendships & relationships I have made here at Allen over the past few years, which have all shaped me into who I am today and have helped me realize what truly makes me happy. This past year has been one of the best years of my life, and I have everyone here at Allen High School to thank for that. I wish the best of luck to all of the seniors and their plans moving forward! Be kind, love everyone, and we’re all in this together!
I’m going to start off my college career here at Collin and transfer to either Texas Tech or the University of Texas at Austin I’m a couple years to pursue a teaching and coaching career. Though our high school didn’t end the way that any of us planned, we still have all the countless memories and good times that we get to hold onto and cherish for the rest of our lives. This class has been a special one to say the least, we’ve come together more than any other class before us, things like the student section and the unity that we all saw after the tragedies of A’mya and Marquel, and now this mess that we’re in. This year has given me a new perspective on humans and our capabilities to persevere and press on in the face of disaster. Love you all, and I really mean that, good luck on the rest of your lives and hopefully we will meet again. God bless you guys.
I plan on attending the University of Arkansas with a major in Mechanical Engineering and a minor in Business. It’s sad that we didn’t get to say bye to the people we grew up with for 12 years, nor did we realize we would have an endless spring break. But I guess this teaches us a lesson; treat every day as if it were you last. We never know when something like this is going to happen. My advice for others is to not care what other people think about you. The more you worry about them, the less time you have to do what you love. High school is the time to let go and to do everything you’ve wanted - go to the play, ask that person out, scream at the football games. Be yourself and don’t let other people’s opinions get in the way. This isn’t a sad goodbye but a see you later and a start to a new beginning.
I know I was the quiet awkward kid, but thank you all for an amazing 4 years. Good luck in wherever y’all will go next!
✌️Ethan
Hey everyone! I’m Tanya Singh and this August I will be attending Western Michigan University majoring in commercial aviation and business management. I moved to Allen from New York in 2014 and since then I have made so many memories with people that I love. If anyone was friends with me or just talked to me they would have established that I’m loud, but I am happy that I didn’t have to change who I was because within the previous schools I have been to it was hard to adjust. I am happy that I could try so many different things being at Allen and was able to get out of my comfort zone. These 4 years have had its ups and downs, but I had great support of friends, family, and even teachers through these times. I am upset that our senior year was cut short, but we have finally made it! Even though we didn’t get our perfect ending we at least we made memories being here. The advice I would give to lowerclassmen is to do something in the future that you are passionate about whether it is going to college, not going to college, or whatever it is. I grew up with the Indian stereotype and I had a lot of expectations of either being a doctor, lawyer, or engineer. It’s okay to do something different. I am one if the first people in my family who is going through a different path, and I’m so excited where it takes me! I loved going to Allen and the memories I have established here are unforgettable! Allen Eagles Forever!!
Hello friends! My name is Chloe McDonald! At the beginning of the year I honestly had no idea where I was gonna end up, this ultimately led me to applying to a bunch of colleges and a bunch of college visits. I eventually ended up choosing to attend Ohio State next year and will be majoring in Mathematics (focusing on statistics) and a minor in communications. Throughout high school I feel as if I’ve grown towards acts of community service and involvement within my community and I hope to continue that sentiment through college! I’m not gonna lie, I’m pretty scared about moving up north because it’ll be a big change but I’m ready to embrace something new! While I am moving somewhere new, Allen will forever be my home. Despite the recent situation we find ourselves in, I feel like I definitely made the most out of senior year, whether it be attending football and basketball games, study groups with my peers, or making countless lasting memories with my friends, this year will be a year that I will hold so close to my heart and never forget! Go bucks!
Hey! It’s me, Brennan!
To reflect back on my four years at Allen, I’ve learned a lot about myself and who I am. I’ve learned a lot about other people too. I figured out who I was my junior year of high school. I knew that I wanted to join the military, but I knew I couldn’t hold my identity in that. It wouldn’t hold, it wasn’t something that is concrete to have an identity in. I’ve been a Christian since I can remember, from a young age, but I knew that I wanted more. Through prayer and spending a lot of years with the FCA crew, I found that my King called me to be a warrior for Him. A Godly man who is gentle, loving, kind, righteous, patient, honorable and humble. I’ve prayed over and over for my King to train my hands for war and He is doing that, I can see results. He has also been doing more, there is more than skill and determination when it comes to a career in that field. He has been training me as a man, forging me into a warrior who will be ready to be a husband, father, and brother to those around me. That to me is very important. I want to serve my King with utmost honor. Allen has taught me that my education and “warrior training” go hand in hand. Everyone should have the ability to be educated and those of us that do should take that seriously and make the best of it, to sum that up, here’s a quote, “The Nation that makes a great distinction between its scholars and its warriors will have its thinking done by cowards and its fighting done by fools.” – Charles George Gordon
Your mind must be sharp as well as your body. Allen has taught me that my faith is important. Yeah yeah, growing up in church I’ve been told that all the time, but I never really saw it until I realized how much surrounding myself with people really matters. I had that revealed to me in middle school and it has been put in practice ever since. I am am very grateful to have lived in this city for as long as I have and I am very thankful to go to Allen. It’s academic rigor has helped me realize the importance of education and it’s challenges in student leadership and all courses I took have shown me that I have an impact on people, so take every chance to make it a good impact.
Hey everyone! I’m Ishaan Mistry. I moved here back in 6th grade, and though I miss my home in Chicago, I wouldn’t want to leave Texas.
This year has been the most important year of my high school years. My best friend and I started the Environmental Club. Though it may have not done as well as I had anticipated I am so appreciative that I could collaborate with others. I joined STEAM Leadership which built up the leadership values that I have today. It’s what taught me the importance of socializing and networking. This year I put my time into my physical and mental health and I am so grateful to have the friends that I have. I have learned so much this year and I am so appreciative of everyone that has helped me get better. I will remember this year as the shortest but best year of high school.
Hey guys! My name is Kylie Arnett. I’ve had so many amazing experiences during this last year of high school and I’ve made so many new friends. Although this last semester didn’t go how we all planned, it’s important to remember all the good times we’ve had! My advice for the underclassmen is:
1. don’t worry so much about what other people think of you
2. choose friends who make you feel good about yourself
3. don’t hold any grudges, love everyone
4. enjoy every moment with the people you love because you never know what will happen!
Coming into high school I had a lot of insecurities about different things. I was always worried about what other people were thinking. By my junior year I finally began to understand that other people’s opinions shouldn’t hurt me. The more I dwelled on what people said or thought, the more unhappy I was. I figured out that being angry at people hurt me just as much than it hurt them. That being said, I made it my goal to love everyone and love myself. It has made all the difference in my life. I’m so thankful for all the people- both friendly and unfriendly- who helped me to find that love for myself and others. This year was truly one for the books and I know all of you seniors will do great things if you put your mind to it! Although I have not made a decision yet for my next steps, I’m so excited for what the future brings! Live it up in college!
My name is Kaitlyn McFarland and I will be attending the University of California Los Angeles in the fall majoring in Human Biology and Society. Allen is obviously a big school, and clubs like HOSA and Key Club gave me a smaller community feel, and allowed me to make friends I will value for a long time. It is upsetting that our senior year has been cut short, but I hope everyone is excited for their future endeavors, as I am. I hope to see you all happy and successful in the future! Go Bruins!
Howdy y’all, it’s Ben. I’ll be attending Texas State University majoring in Criminal Justice with plans to return to North Texas to pursue a career in law enforcement. Having gone to AHS, I feel that I am going into the world more prepared than others because I had the opportunities to take classes that are rare and really prepared me for my career. I was able to work with the SROs and participate in an internship at the police department which has been so beneficial in helping me find out who I am and how I’ll live my life. Participating in student leadership was a blast and I got to meet all kinds of people, participate in volunteer work, organizations, and my favorite thing, being able to video interview with another school in Linden, New Jersey. I’ll definitely miss my PALees since we weren’t able to to a proper goodbye. Lastly, I’ve got to thank my friends for pushing through this 4 year battle with me. Kyle, Donivan, Andy, you were there from the start and I’ll miss y’all a lot. Logan, John, I promise I’ll visit y’all whenever I’m back in Allen. And for everyone else in the class of 2020: don’t look at this as opportunities lost. Right now, you have extra time that you get to spend with your family, time to appreciate the room that you’ve slept in for however long you’ve been there, time to spend with your pets before you go and they wonder where you are. This is a gift to enjoy the final months of your childhood with your favorite people and things because once September hits, that life ends. Don’t take it for granted. #A-Up
Hey my name is Eden Amin! After graduation I will be attending The University of Central Oklahoma, majoring in Forensic Science. I moved back to Allen my Sophomore year and I was blown away by the sheer size of the school, however, it was the best decision my parents could’ve made. Being at Allen has opened up opportunities I wouldn’t have had if I was anywhere else. The people you meet, the experiences you are involved in, the bonds you form, is something that I’ve only seen at Allen. My favorite memory throughout senior year would have to be getting a high five from Mrs. Clarke every morning. Finally my advice for underclassmen is to step out of your comfort zone and do something you normally wouldn’t. Sign up for a class you normally wouldn’t, join a sport, or get involved in your community.
Hey friends! My name is Grace Carnley and I’m proud to be part of the AHS class of 2020! After high school I will be heading off to become a US Marine! Once I am finished with marine school, I hope to join a professional ballet company. Before high school I went to four different elementary schools and Curtis middle school. I found it hard to make friends after moving around so many times, but once I joined the Allen Eagle Escadrille, I met some of the greatest people. I never thought that I would be able to make friends so close they would become family! I am so thankful for everyone who has made my marching band experience unforgettable!
Some advice I have for the underclassmen is never let someone tell you that you can’t do something. You can pass that class, you can make that grade, you can get into that college, and you can have that job. Never tell yourself that you can’t. Life can get crazy, but never give up on your dreams! My senior quote is “If life hands you an opportunity, take it because you could go somewhere amazing!”
Hey everyone! For those who don’t know me, my name is Baylee Walters and I am so excited to further my education at Tarleton State University in the fall, majoring in Agriculture Education with a minor in Animal Science.
I moved to Allen right before sophomore year started and I’m not gonna lie to you, I was not happy about it. I had already moved several times since elementary school, and I was just ready to settle down somewhere for good. But as time went on, this city, the school and the people have grown on me. I found my family within Allen High School’s FFA program and learned how to finally step out of my comfort zone through stock shows and leadership conferences. I’ve always been an outgoing and smiley person, I just lacked the confidence I needed in order to be the successful & happy person that I am today. But if there’s one thing I’ve learned throughout high school, it’s that no one cares. You just have to think positively and be confident in who you are! Be confident that you can get through those bumps in the road, that you can make new friends and that YOU WILL be successful in the future. Don’t worry about who’s judging you because without a doubt, they’re focused on their own tasks and issues. Dress how you want, make the first move, study what YOU want. Do not measure up to everyone else because you are your own kind of beautiful and you are capable of so much.
With that said, I’m so blessed to have spent these last 3 years at Allen High School because I truly found myself, and my passion through the friends I’ve made and Allen FFA. I couldn’t be anymore grateful for the experience AHS has given me. So to all my fellow seniors, stay strong & believe in yourself that you are capable of anything!
Sincerely,
the girl who’s fallen down the stairs more than once.

Hey! My name is Isabel Alvarez, but most people know me as Iz. I will be going to UT Austin in the fall for advertising, and I hope to one day be a creative technologist. I’ve been in Allen all my life, and honestly I’m so grateful for everything. I’ve had the privilege to be one of the Editor-in-Chiefs of the yearbook this year and the head of marketing crew for theatre the past three years. If you asked me a year or even two months ago, I would have not thought I would have been where I am now, for the better and for the worse. Though this was not the ending to senior year I, or pretty much any of us, expected, I am so thankful for the memories I did have. One piece of advice I have for underclassmen, or anyone really, is keep on creating the life you want to live. Thank you for everything, Allen. And until later, hook em’!
hey everyone! my name is Rachel Suk and i’m going to be attending baylor university to study business. this year, i wasn’t really stressed about which college i wanted to attend and didn’t even bother with college visits because at the end of the day, my first choice has always been baylor! from the first time i saw the campus to visiting my sister at baylor throughout these past four years, i fell in love. though i’m excited to call baylor my new home, allen will always have a special place in my heart. throughout my past 7 yrs in allen, i have been surrounded with the most genuine, kind, and loving people. one thing i learned throughout high school is to put yourself out there. work hard to achieve the goals that you set for yourself. break stereotypes. get involved. if you want something to happen, take initiative and take charge but most importantly, surround yourself with people who put you up not pull you down. obviously this year didn’t go the way we wanted it to but everything happens for a reason!
thank you to everyone who’s been by my side. thank you to allen for making my high school experience a truly memorable one and thank you to the class of 2020 for being the best class ever! i wish the best of luck to everyone and for their next chapter in life! it’s been a blessing to be your student body president!
Hey guys! My name is McKenzie Ewing! For most of my time at Allen I was always so worried about failing. From a young age I was teased and bullied for being dyslexic because I could never write or spell as well as everyone else. When everyone would be reading and writing in second grade I could barely spell my name, in fact I only drew pictures until I was at the end of second grade. I had multiple teachers tell me I couldn’t do well and that no matter what I did I would fail. It was something that bugged me for a very long time and still occasionally dose. Over time with a lot of help from family, friends and my teachers I’ve been able to improve my English skills. During my time at Allen I was on the varsity swim team until the beginning of my junior year until I had to give up swimming due to an injury. I am also apart of the vet med program at Allen. After Allen I plan on attending Collin for two years to get an associate of science degree, then transfer to Oklahoma State University for their veterinary medicine program and become a veterinarian. My advice for anyone else struggling is don’t let anyone tell you you’re not good enough, because you are! Peace out Allen Eagles 🦅!
Hey guys my name is Eben Amin, and this fall I will be going to Oklahoma State University and studying architecture. I'm going to try and not have this be the same as my brothers even though were twins gotta have some differences. So I moved from Lovejoy after my freshmen year, and honestly was really bummed. however, I tried to embrace the switch to Allen and later that sophomore year I applied to PALs and got in. PALs changed my whole prospective on moving to Allen, and being there for the rest of my high school years. I would recommend every underclassman to find something they want to invest themselves in and just takeoff with that. Personally I didn't figure out what I was going to Major in until my summer after junior year, and that's okay! Don't stress over it, make sure you find something you want to continue doing through your whole life. though our senior year was cut short, we're gonna be the only graduating class to be able to say we had all these things happen! We had John Krasinski throw an online prom for us, who else is going to be able to say that? All of the people from my high school life that I got to know or had a class with were amazing I'm glad I got to know you guys. Thanks. A-UP 20
hey friends!!! my name is tailea nguyen, more known as tai. I will be attending Collin College in the fall to get my associates and hoping to transfer to UNT for business management. I would just like to start by saying thank you to everyone at Allen for giving me the best high school experience ever. I am forever grateful for the experience I had being a part of the band (freshman and sophomore year) , the football games in the student section, the field trips, the clubs I got to be a part of like key club and UNICEF, and every person I have met at Allen high school. I have made so many amazing memories and friends that I will hold to my heart for the rest of my life. the most important thing that I learned from my time at Allen was that you lose friends and gain friends and that's okay. people change and you change and we grow apart and it's not always a bad thing. I've been really lost as a person for a while but I think I've finally found my way through life and what I want for my future. most of the time, us high schoolers are pressured to figure out what we want to do in life and if we don't then we're looked down upon. however I've learned that it's okay not to know what we want in life yet and I believe that it's a part of growing up and finding ourselves and our identities. although this is not how I imagined the last year of high school ending but I am proud of all of us for getting through this together.
hi everyone! my name is Bailey and i will be attending the University of Kansas in the fall and plan on majoring in Pharmaceuticals. i have grown up in allen all my life and although it’s being cut short i’m super excited for what’s ahead of me. i have made the most of this time by still continuing to make my last memories as an eagle. through the years i have always wanted to fit in be like everyone else but i’ve learned to love myself for who i am and be myself in every situation. allen has taught me so many things and shaped me into the person i am today. to all of the seniors, keep your head high and stay positive. ROCK CHALK JAYHAWK❤️💙
Hi there! My name is Claire Welch and next year I will be attending Tarleton State University for a Major in Zoo Animal Bio and Management with a Minor in Pre-Vet. For most of my high school career, I’ve been the girl who was just there, someone people would recognize but never really know. Since middle school I’ve had a hard time connecting to people, but I’m thankful for those who stood by me all these years. I made many lifelong friends on the Swim Team, in Orchestra, and in FFA, each of which I managed to letter in. I won 9th place in the 100 Butterfly at our District Swim Meet, I won both Grand-champion and Reserve-Champion with my two rabbits at the Collin County Junior Livestock Exhibition, and I was one of the student conductors for the Sinfonia 1 Orchestra. Life has thrown us some crazy curveballs, but it’s better to hold onto your achievements and look forward to what is to come than focus on all of the negativity right now. A lot can change in a few months, so we’ll just have to see what happens. A-Up 🦅! And Bleed Purple💜!
Hey everyone! If you don’t know my name is Adam Bennett. I have been in Allen ISD for 12 years now. After graduation I will be attending Texas Tech in Lubbock to major in Creative Media Industries! It has been a really fun high school experience, as a member of the shooting team, archery team, stadium crew, and broadcast I have definitely had a full plate. This year I was able to capture some great moments from all kinds of Allen sports. I am super thankful to have joined The Old Coach as a content creator, covering football, basketball, baseball, hockey, and more! I have been blessed to have a head start on my career in high school working for 3 professionals sports teams in 3 different venues. Allen is in a unique situation. We are the largest public high school in the State, that comes with advantages and disadvantages. To get the most out of your time at Allen I think you need to get involved, find something that you enjoy and be fully committed to it. I think the biggest mistake people make is not taking advantage of all the great things that Allen has to offer. With the being said know the difference between meaningful involvement and minimum participation. If you don’t enjoy something don’t feel obligated to do it for 4 years find something you can be passionate about and run with. Lastly I think the class of 2020 is a really solid group of people, I am excited to see what everyone goes on to do with their life and the impact they have on the world in the future.
Hi everyone! My name is Caroline Kemp, and I couldn’t be more grateful to have called Allen High School my home for the past 4 years. From mentoring younger students and learning how to use a megaphone in PALS, to growing and dodge-balling alongside the most joyful people in FCA, to receiving incredible inspiration from my choir directors: each opportunity has convinced me that we literally go to the best school in America. The biggest lesson I’ve learned is to not try to make other people love me, but to instead make other people feel loved. Sure, they might remember what clothes you wore, what leadership position you held, or what people you hung out with at football games. They might notice those things, and they might even be jealous. But will they be impacted? You might feel good for a second, but are they leaving with the knowledge that they are worth your time, that they are valued? I’ve definitely had to reshape my focus over the years and realize that true impact isn’t found in “impressing” people- it’s learning their name. It’s asking them what they did over the weekend and bringing them a card when their dog died. It’s learning about an underclassman’s hobbies or meeting the person next to you at the bus stop. Ultimately, my example is Jesus, who had every right to demand attention and praise, but instead spent his time washing mud off people’s feet. I wish the best to every senior- keep making unique memories during this time and choose gratitude for everything we’ve already been SO blessed to experience! Thanks to ALL of you who’ve made high school the best years of my life. Oh, and Sic ‘em ‘24!!
Hey guys, my name is Alejandro Cavazos and I will be attending Oklahoma State University in the fall majoring in business with a minor in strategic communications. I first moved to Allen from Mexico back in 2012 where I started off my 5th grade year and I didn’t really know what to expect. Anyone that’s moved from one country to another country can agree that it is one of the most terrifying things at first, but, as time goes on and you adjust to your new environment, meet new friends and make new memories that make everything better. And I can certainly say that I’ve felt at home and welcomed during my time at Allen. Allen gave me so many opportunities to find my own potential and push me to be the best person I can be. I had the incredible opportunity to represent the school on the mats for the varsity wrestling team for 4 years; I got to be part of the legacy that has been Allen for so many years. I’ve met people that I am extremely grateful for, whether our relationship still stands or not, every single person I’ve had the opportunity to meet over the past couple year has shaped me into who I am today. I think the best way to put all my emotions is that I am just so extremely grateful for everything Allen had given me, the good stuff, the bad stuff and anything in between. This whole situation made me realize how grateful I am for everything. We got the short end of the stick as a class this year and it sucks, but we just gotta take this situation and make the best out of it. We are all strong, I wish every single senior the best of luck as we all move on with our lives!
Go pokes!
Hi everyone! My name is Avery Wurzberger and I will be attending the University of Oklahoma next year majoring in Communications. Two programs that defined my years at Allen were the Sports Medicine program and PALs program. Athletic training was a 4-year adventure that allowed me to be a part of the incredible sports culture at Allen and brought me the most amazing family; the PALs program provided me with a constant positive element in my life and allowed me to give back to my community and grow as an individual. PALs also helped me realize my passion to help and connect with those around me. If I could give any advice to the underclassman, it would be to simply love your neighbor. As I look back on my time at Allen, what truly sticks out to me is the individuals I met along the way. It’s easy to look around a classroom and decide to keep to yourself when you don’t find a familiar face, but I encourage you to look at that as an opportunity to meet someone new. Reach out to those around you. I believe we have something to learn from everyone we meet and there is real beauty to be found in everyone. The friendships I built at Allen inspired me to be the best version of myself and gave me a reason to be excited to go school everyday. At the end of the day, always spread love wherever you go!
What's up seniors, my name is Terius Cooper. I am attending Collin College and going to Baylor to do computer engineering! I have been to so many different schools and I never seen a school like Allen High School I've been in Allen HS for 6 months since September. I am not going to lie I thought it was a community college itself I we went to the wrong school. I'm grateful and thankful for the teachers and friends that became family and Allen High School is a strong school I will miss you all. And to the lower class, man, its Jeremiah 2911" For I know the plans I have for you plans to not harm you,bit to give you a hope and a future.”
What's up Allen?! During my two years at Allen, I was blessed to be apart of this class, and I found some very great role models. So, here's something special I wanted to share with y'all:
As you consider your next steps of life, something greatly important is to look ahead at when you will be nearing death; those times when you can hear death somewhere around the corner, now ask yourself, "What are the things you most remember and appreciate?" At the heart of all the emotions, you'll focus on your relationships with family, friends, and God, whether torn or strengthened. For this reason alone, go that extra mile to help and build up other people! You will secure a great relationship with them, and by utilizing each opportunity, you retain memorable and lasting joy (and forget temporary fears). And, more than likely, they'll come back to help you.
Psychology tells us that humans are social-dependent creatures, and it's true.
This quarantine makes us go a little stir-crazy, and experiments about removing interactions causes insanity. So, your purpose as a human should be to support and build up others, just as others do this for you. But the ironic thing is, have you noticed how often we expect better behavior from others, while others expect better behavior from us? In truth, all of us fail to practice the kind of behavior which we expect others should be doing. Just as people have welcomed you to be friends, it is contradictory to not share that same welcome and friendliness with people regardless of benefits. Throughout every society, we appeal to higher standard of good and bad actions ("that's not fair"), and we break the Lord's design for us aka sin. [From C.S. Lewis]
Hey Everyone! I’m Steven Marquez. I’ve been in Allen most of my life starting my schooling at Story Elementary. Although, sometimes I miss my hometown New Orleans, Allen is home for me. I’ve have made many friends throughout the years and created many memories I’ll cherish for a life time. I’ll be continuing my studies at Collin College majoring in Architecture. Despite the circumstances of Covid-19, thank you Allen for not giving up on us by still giving us a graduation! I feel that I’m prepared for the future thanks to my parents and Allen ISD. I’m proud of the growth I’ve accomplished and look forward to new chapters in my life. I hope all my fellow seniors are doing well and hope for the best in the future! #seniors #seniorszn #seniors2020
Hi i’m Faith Ncho
My family and I moved to Allen prior to the start of my sophomore year. I was part of HOSA, Key Club, debate, student council and the African Student Organization. It’s beautiful to have your own community and to see people who have lived the same experiences as you. I’m extremely sad to be missing out on all the major experiences that make high school worthwhile but nevertheless, I will always be grateful to Allen High School for all the memories and friends I made. In the fall i’ll be covering my basics at Collin Community College and then transferring to get my Bachelors in Biomedical Engineering. I want to thank everyone who has ever made me smile or laugh. I wish you all the best. Eagle out!🦅🥺
what’s up y’all my name is Logan leMay. Allen has been a hell of a ride but great none of the less. most of my life at Allen has been just trying to figure out what I want to do after high school, I still can’t figure it out but I will eventually. I will be attending Collin college in the fall, and then transferring later to Mid-Western. There is so much going on now that there hasn’t been much time for any of us to really see what’s going on and really focus on the fact that we did it! we made it through high school an we are going to great things now. all I have to say now is thank you for the people that came in to my life through all an if I never got the chance to talk to you i always love to chat so dm or anything but again #allensenior2020
Hey y’all! I’m Colby Sanford and I’m going to be attending the University of Arkansas and majoring in business for the next four years. I’ve grown up and lived in Allen my whole life and I’m very thankful. I’ve been blessed with many opportunities to meet new people and make new friends. One program that’s been very influential in my life is the Allen Wrestling team. Wrestling at Allen has taught me many things such as determination, patience, and the ability to overcome adversity. Many coaches, parents and athletes have been very helpful and dedicated to get me to where I am today. - Some advice I’d like to give to the underclassman is to cherish all the moments with your friends now because sooner or later you’ll come to realize those four years of high school went by pretty fast. Another piece of advice is to go to all the sporting events that you can because they are really fun and a great way to get involved. As my senior year is almost over I’d like to say I’m very thankful and blessed to have grown up in such an amazing city and school district and to have met so many kind hearted caring people. Thank you Allen. A-UP!!
Hey guys! My name is Serena and i am SO proud to be graduating with the class of 2020 from AHS! I will be attending Collin College for one year to get my Paramedics certificate and take pre-req classes to transfer! Hopefully i will be transferring to a major university to get a degree in Nursing in the fall of 2021! Some advice that i would give to the underclassmen would be to not freak out over little things that come your way because it will all work out in the end! Also keep good communication with your teachers and they will be more willing to help you succeed! Don't worry about what your friends do or what people think, do what you know is best for you! Thank you to all my teachers and friends who guided me to get through high school! I couldn't have done it without all of the encouragement and positivity! I wish you all the best of luck out in the world! You guys are going to do great things in life!!
♥️Serena
Hey y'all, my name is Juliette Pugliese! I've been in Allen since 7th grade (go cougars!) and I'll be honest I hated it here at first. But very quickly i warmed up, I made new and great friends, I found support from teachers and staff, and I started to love being and Allen Eagle. When I was a kid, I went to a lot of different schools, and I am happy to say AHS is the last school. I'm going to take a gap year, hold off on college until I can get some funds up and get a little more mentally stable. I want to thank all my fellow seniors, all my teachers, and everyone at AHS for persevering through this tough time and not forgetting about us. :)
Hi! My name is Cynthia DeHoyos and i’ve been going to AHS since my junior year. I had moved from a really small city, so it was really hard. Moving to such a big school at such an important time in high school was rough at first, but i’ve had the best time. I joined choir once I moved here and made some amazing friends. I was so grateful that I was able to be a part of the really big family that choir is. So, thank you to everyone who helped me along the way. I couldn’t be more excited to be graduating from AHS and i’m so excited to see what’s happening next! 🤍 (Also big shoutout to Brydie H. for taking this picture!!) - Cyn (:
Hey guys I’m Deborah Bushland!
We’re all experiencing some kind of feeling about graduating, especially with what we are all enduring right now, but I’ll never forget what my art teachers and choir directors have done for me. Thank you to all of my fellow classmates and staff alike for pushing me towards fulfilling my full time art career. My heart goes out to other seniors but we all are destined for great things. I wish everyone the best in their future endeavors!

Hey everyone! My name is Aliyah, the thought of being a senior is scary but amazing. We are all about to start a HUGE chapter of our life’s and what’s not exciting about that? Honestly the whole 4 years of being in high school was a roller coaster, I had good days and I had bad days but those days are behind me now I worked sooo hard my whole entire grade school career and, now I’m about to graduate!!! I am proud to say that I will be attending UNT to major in criminal justice. Junior year and senior year shaped me into the person I am today and I’m very grateful for that, I joined PALs and met some amazing people and I join interact club which gave me the opportunity to help our community.Even though we didn’t get to have prom, wear senior shirts or have a normal graduation, it’s okay we can make the best out of what we have now.
— STAY POSITIVE —
hey guys!! My name is Somi and I’ll be attending Hendrix College to go on a pre-med track in biology with a minor/major in music. I’m extremely grateful to have lived in Allen and I’m so happy I met you guys. It’s crazy that we graduate in less than 2 weeks- definitely didn’t think it would happen this fast!
I’ll never forget those football games, the talent show, orchestra and encore concerts, and just spending time with my friends.
Thanks to all of you for making my Allen High School experience a great one. :) I can’t wait to see all the amazing things we accomplish in the future!! (also thank you @gwootenphotography for this pic!)
Hey guys I’m Tosin Beasley and I’m heading to Howard University to study Political Science on a Pre-Law track. It’s amazing how time has flown, I still remember our first day at Lowery where everyone buzzing around ready for high school just to find out that things weren’t like high school musical mad it seem like. I’ve enjoyed these past years and the great memories we all have created and will create later in the future. I really wish our senior year could have turned out different but just know I’m rooting for everyone of y’all. We’re going to get thru this and we’re going to enjoy the next chapters of our lives. For the last time....A-UP!!!!!!!!
Hi my name is David Long in all my 18 years in Allen I have been blessed with many friends. I hope to continue that path on my way to Stephen F. Austin State University to major in Computer Science#Allenout.
Hi guys! My name is Marit van Megesen and I moved to Allen in the summer of 2015. I’m actually not going to college yet because I’ll be taking a gap year first, and was planning on traveling a lot to places like Japan and Europe, but I’m not sure if that will still happen. Hopefully it will!
I‘m moving back to the Netherlands in the spring of 2021 and going to college there. I’ll be applying to the Technische Universiteit of Eindhoven to study Data Science. I’ll miss all of my friends here so much! Thank you for all the great memories! ❤️
My name is AJ Anthony. I’m going to Howard university and majoring in biology with a minor in chemistry.
Hi everyone!! My name’s Taylor Bush and I am going to be attending Texas Tech University this fall to major in in psychology! I have gone to allen schools all my life and now after 13 years, this chapter in our lives is finally closing. One of the constants in my life while attending school was being apart of the PALS program for all 4 years. In pals, I learned many skills that I hope to continue to use on a daily basis. One of the turning points in my life is whenever I got selected to attend the High School Leadership Conference at Oklahoma University in Feb 2019 and I got the chance to better myself in ways that I didn’t even know were possible. That one weekend taught me so much about myself and the people I met during that time, I’m still friends with today. Growing up, I always felt as if i had to please everyone, look a certain way, or change who i was for the others around me, to where I began to lose myself. It wasn’t until that conference that I realized that the only thing that mattered was that I didn’t need to change myself for others, as long as I was happy, that’s all that mattered in the world. After that weekend, I started getting out of my comfort zone, meeting new people and overall just enjoying myself and the person who I was becoming. I am a firm believer in whatever happens in your life is meant to happen no matter how bad or good the situation may be. This situation that us seniors have been put in of not getting the proper goodbye to our years at Allen is saddening, but we as the class of 2020 have continued to push back with the whole community’s support behind us. This has made us stronger as individuals and as a community, causing us to continue to grow together. COVID-19 may have taken the final celebrations from us, but it has provided strength in each of us to take each day on and live in the moment. Thank you to everyone that has been involved in my life and impacted me in anyway possibly and as always, A-UP forever.
Hey. My name is Nate Hart and I plan on finishing my associates degree at Collin College while also pursuing the real estate industry with plans to sell and eventually rent my own property. I moved to Allen before starting 5th grade and have loved it here ever since. I've grown a lot as a person and met so many amazing people, especially this past year, and it was so sad to hear that we weren't going back. One of my favorite memories of AHS was the huge amount of opportunity that students are provided with. There are so many different clubs or organizations that anybody can find a home in. This year, Allen Hockey was a big one for me, as well as being able to work with and film highlights for our football team. I'm looking forward to what the future has in store for us and I'm very happy that I had the opportunity to go to Allen! I've met so many great friends this year and I wouldn't trade it for the world. Thank you Allen! #AUP #ska2020
Hi fellow seniors!! My name is Ashleigh Carpenter and I have been happy to call Allen my home all 12 years (Story-Ford-AHS)! I will be furthering my academic and basketball career at Pace University in Westchester/NYC, New York majoring in Biology! I have future plans to become an anesthesiologist. I was born in New York but grew up in Texas and have always had plans to head back home where a huge amount of my family is. As i’ve been here i’ve battled through adversity, lost friends, was mistreated at times & my athletic ability was underestimated which caused a huge confidence drop for me. Everyone knows me as a upbeat, bubbly goofy person but I became a very enclosed girl when it came to my personal struggles and would have to act like I wasn’t hurting at times. Many think you need to go to a D1 institution to be considered a great athlete but there are many great athletes at different levels. Everybody has a story so never judge a book by its cover as they say. This ride has formed me into the amazing woman I need to be in this world. I cannot wait to see what my future has in store for me and what opened doors I will discover. Everyone has their favorite high school moments but the highlight of my high school years was definitely Friday Night Lights! I met many people but I can say I have a solid handful of friends I can always count on to support me throughout everything and I will always be thankful for that. My advice to everyone is to never hesitate to be who you are or change that. The greatest relationships are the ones that appreciate and accept you as a person. Also, be that positive person and influence to others. In college or whatever chapter we are entering, at some point you or someone else will need a friend factor to lean on, so be there. You may not even be able to physically help the situation but just your support is more than enough to that person. Thank you Allen High School and congratulations to everyone, only up from here.❤️
Hey yall! My name is Katie Wright and I will be attending Oklahoma State University to study Marketing. I have been apart of AllenIsd for 13 years (Chandler-Ford-Allen) and each school had unique aspects to it, but everytime you felt that Allen Family connected to it. I am so grateful for the community and friends that I have gained through the years and I hope to always stay connected no matter where life takes me. As I was trying to come up with something to say I was really found speechless about how this year ended. There's not really words to describe how I feel or really anyone does. And for anyone that knows me I always have something to say. As we have navigated through these weeks with online learning and passing events such as Prom I have learned that time is the only thing in our way. We don't know when normal will return, but it will one day and when it does we can catch us on all that was missed. We have so much life to live for and this is just beginning! Congrats Class of 2020!
Wassup guys! My name is Carl, but people know me as Carlitos. I moved to Allen in 2013 and It was hard for me leaving Egypt. But the people I got to know here made me feel like I’m home. I couldn’t have done it without y’all. Y’all are more than just friends, y’all are family now. I’m grateful for all the people I’ve known at Allen High over the past few years that made my high school experience outstanding. I’m planning on majoring in Business at UT Dallas and hopefully I’ll get to see y’all there. I may have not gotten a chance to get to know the rest of y’all out there but feel free to hit me up if you need anything. I’m going to miss Allen and the people that made Allen home.
Your homeboy,
Carl
Hey friends I’m Peyton Kuester and although I didn’t start out in Allen I’m so glad that most my life has been spent here! I can’t believe we graduate in about a week and I’m so excited to see what lies ahead of us! This fall I’ll be attending the university of Oklahoma, majoring in Nursing! If I could go back to the very first day of high school and give myself some advice I would tell myself to take every second in and enjoy it all! Thank you for the best four years Allen High School! 2020!!!!
Hey y’all! My name is Leena and I’ll be attending The University of Oklahoma in the fall majoring in Pre-med Biology/Sciences. I’ve lived in Allen all my life and I would not have it any other way. Allen High has given me the greatest friendships and opportunities through all of the programs that I am involved in and I’m grateful for it! I have been a member of the choir program since middle school and it has blessed me with the BEST directors and choral family that I could ask for. I also joined the Sports Medicine program sophomore year- which was the best decision I could have made. There’s nothing like Friday Night Lights on the field with the team you love- doing what you love. Lastly, junior year I joined PALs. PALs has been the greatest program. It was an opportunity to give back to the community that has given so much to me. I’m proud to call myself a PAL! I was given the best friends, experiences, and life lessons through the program, and I couldn’t appreciate it and our sponsors more. Looking back through thirteen years of school, I am proud to be an Eagle. Through a school so big, filled with so many personalities, the biggest lesson I have learned is to spread love and positivity. Be proud of yourself, be proud of your school and where you come from, and love those around you! I thank Allen for giving me a second family and home. There’s nothing like being an Allen Eagle. A-UP! ❤️
Hey guys! My name is Taylor Dahl and after I graduate I will be serving an 18 month mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I won’t know where I’m going until July, but if there’s one thing I’ve learned from my years at Allen it’s that I can make the best of any situation that I’m thrown into. I moved to Allen in the middle of my sophomore year from Miami, Florida and am so incredibly grateful for the opportunity I had to go to Allen High School. I had a really hard time leaving Florida and opening up to people, but I eventually found my rhythm. I just want to thank all of you for changing my life for the better and giving me experiences that I’ll hold close to as I navigate through this next chapter!
Heya Allen seniors! I’m Sarah Norton, most of ya don’t know me. I will be attending The Citadel on a Marine Corps scholarship then go to serve as a Marine officer.
I moved here 2015 and have been so lucky for all the kind people brought into my life. I was part of JROTC for 4 years and made many friends.
As seniors we have accomplished so much. I can’t wait to see how much we will do in the future. Let’s go eagles 2020❤️
Wassup class of 2020! My name is Shaun Campbell im a rap artist from Memphis Tennessee I’ve been in Texas for 5 or 6 years and tbh im blessed I made it this far because the city im from a lot of us black ppl don’t even get to see 18 or graduation because guns control the city !! And for the ppl who never lived a lifestyle like that don’t try to copy it be yourself and be successful there’s no reason for yall to react someone you’re not.
Hey guys!! I’m Jazmine Neely and I will be attending Illinois State University where I will be studying nursing while competing for the Redbird gymnastics team! I’ve lived in Allen for the majority of my life, and couldn’t have imagined a better place. Many of you may recognize me, as I went to Boon and Cheatham Elementary, and am the younger sis to Jordan (Jroc) who was on the basketball team that won the State championship in 2018. I had been doing online school for nine years so I could accommodate a more rigorous practice schedule, but I really wanted to go back to Allen for that senior year experience. Unfortunately, it got cut short, but I was so happy that I got to see my old friends, make new ones, and attend football games and homecoming! I’m so thankful for all the friendships and opportunities presented to me at Allen!
Seniors, although our year was cut short, you should be super proud of all your accomplishments! There’s nothing like being an Eagle!
A-UP FOREVER!!
Hey guys!! My name is Jumeynah Firdaus. I will be attending the University of Texas at Dallas to major in Heathcare studies. I moved to Allen about three years ago from Atlanta, GA. Allen High School is overwhelmingly huge, and at first glance it was terrifying to me. However, I’m forever grateful for my experience in this High School because I got to meet such great people including my best friend, without whom I can’t even imagine my life. An advice I would give to my underclassman is that Allen is full of great opportunities and it has something for every single one of you. I found my interest in medicine and the Pharmacy Technician Practicum Program, and some of my best memories were in my pharmacy tech class, including our externship at the pharmacy.
Even though our senior year was cut short I will forever Cherish all my memories here in Allen. A-Up!!
hey guys ! my name is laura de anda licona. i will be attending collin to get my basics out of the way and hopefully will transfer to UNT majoring in information systems with a minor in mechanical engineering. even though the situation isn’t the best, im very grateful for the opportunities allen has given me as well as the amazing memories i’ve made with such great people i’ve met. i moved to allen from metepec, mexico in the middle of 4th grade after my dad got a job promotion. i will forever be grateful for the efforts and sacrifices my parents have made in order to give me better opportunities, specially education wise, while leaving all of the things they loved and cared for behind with the sole purpose of making my future better. the support and encouragement i’ve received from my parents as well as my brothers has given me the drive to always work hard and never give up on what i want to do even if it seems impossible. moving to the united states with a limited amount of english vocabulary was very challenging for me but with the help of my elementary school teachers it improved greatly in a short amount of time. that’s when i realised the amazing faculty and staff allen has to offer and that their priority is always for every student to learn and improve. i will always have a special place for allen in my heart. a-up !
Hey guys, name Melvin Gatson and been in Allen for quite a bit. Played varsity football and received an offer from Austin college! I am excited to play the passion that I love in college level. I will be taking Pre-Law, and Computer Science as my major. Happy that I ended high school in Allen and will never forget the friends that I made there. #LLMx2❤️💙
Hey everyone! My name is Zariah & I will be attending the University of Arkansas in the fall and majoring in criminology. Honestly i’m not sure how everyone comes up with something to say. My experience growing up in the Allen ISD school district was nothing short of unique. From going to Marion , Curtis , Lowery, and now Allen Hs where I made friends and memories that will last a life time. Although the past 3.75 years of my my highschool career wasn’t always rainbows in sunshine , I always tried to surround myself with people who would support me and push me to do my best. As much as the crowded hallways drove me crazy , i’m going to miss them as well as all my teachers and my school friends you know the ones you only talk to in class but you guys tell each other everything. I think as much as no one wants to admit it we took these 4 (3.75) years for granted , we always talked about leaving and wanting to grow up and now that we are here i’d give anything to go back (only to the good parts though). But in saying that my favorite quote is “It is what it is” - tiktok , no I’m not sure where it originated from but throughout this pandemic and losing seniors moments I dreamed of having I have to keep telling myself it is what it is. I say that because we can’t change what has happened and we can only go forward , you can’t dwell on what could’ve been when you can work hard for what will come in the future. With that being said I will always be an Marion Maverick, an Curtis Cougar , and an Allen eagle and I wish everyone the best in their future endeavors!
Hey! My name is Sabrina, I moved here 2 years ago so a lot of y’all might not know me. I moved from Venezuela and everything’s been really different ever since. Even though I’ve been living here for a short time, I’ve met amazing people and made really good friends in Allen which i’m so grateful for. Also i’m part of the PALs, and choir program in Allen. Im planning on going to Collin for the first 2 years and then I want to get transferred to UTD. I know this year’s been different but y’all can count on me if you guys need anything! Good luck I wish y’all the best!❤️ -Sabrina Monteiro
Hey guys! I’m Minaal Atif and I’ll be attending the University of Texas at Dallas to major in healthcare studies. I moved to Allen from Pakistan in sophomore year, and the uncertainty of what lay ahead was terrifying. My school in Pakistan was strikingly smaller compared to Allen, and the system it operated by was entirely different, forcing me to work harder in a competitive environment to keep up with my peers. Leaving the familiar community I was raised in was undoubtedly difficult to cope with. Afterall, I had to redefine what the word “home” meant to me. Adapting to a new life was embedded with hardships, but it was also a journey characterized by personal growth, and shaped who I am today. It wasn’t just the end of an era, but a start of a new one. Allen surprised me in the best way. It was so much more fun and welcoming than I had anticipated it to be. It may be overwhelming but it is a community full of some amazing people that I am so proud to have in my life. It taught me strength, perseverance, and to strive to achieve. My immersion into a large, new community, and experiences of living in diverse places gave me the chance to meet new people that influenced me in ways I can’t begin to explain. I can’t imagine my life without my best friend and the other amazing people I’ve met that I got to share so many laughs, and tears with, and made memories I will cherish forever. I got to explore my interests, such as art, writing, and healthcare. I hope to pursue a career in medicine , and I got to learn more about the field by taking classes related to that area of study such as Pharmacy Tech. Although times are rough, and this isn’t the senior year we hoped for, I’ll forever be grateful for all the experiences Allen has granted me. Just remember, appreciate the little things! Whether it’s a smile in the hallways, a hug, a compliment, absorb that positivity and spread as much of it as you can. Yeah, high school is rough, it’s the embodiment of a love-hate relationship, but that test you’re stressing about isn’t what you’ll remember! I’ve learned to make the best out of every situation and give back to my community in any way possible. Thank you Allen, A-up! <3
Hey y'all! My name is Sharada Krishnagiri and I’ve been in Allen all my life. These past four years have really been a rollercoaster, but also some of the most incredible years of my life. I’m so grateful and proud to have been an Allen Eagle and to have experienced so many wonderful moments in my time here. I’m especially very thankful to have had so many amazing teachers and administrators who have taught so me much more than just the content of their classes and have really shaped me into who I am today. I have always been very involved at Allen as I have been a part of many clubs and organizations and attended as many school events as possible, like football games, talent shows, and volunteer opportunities just to name a few.
The biggest piece of advice I can give to
underclassmen would be to do the same. Get involved, be outgoing, try new things and go to the events that the school puts on because doing this will absolutely make your experience so much better! I have made so many great memories and life long friends over the years and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for all of us in the Class of 2020. I want to say a big thank you to everyone that has been a part of my journey from Bolin, Marion, Curtis and Lowery through Allen because I wouldn’t be where I am without y’all. Finally, to all my fellow seniors: Although our senior year may not have ended the way we wanted, there is still so much to look forward to and we all have bright futures ahead of us. Congratulations and I wish y’all the best of luck in all your future endeavors!
hey, y’all!! my name is claire + i have attended allen schools for thirteen years. involvement has played a huge role in my high school career-i was an education intern and got to teach at the elementary, middle, and high school level, i was a leader in fca, and i’ve had so many other wonderful opportunities. to the underclassmen, the biggest piece of advice that i have is to get involved!! join a club or the band or choir; join anything that interests you at all! some of my fondest memories and greatest friends have come from my involvement at allen. to the seniors graduating, we did it. we got through high school and it’s time for that next step. our class of 2020 has accomplished so much and we’re going to keep accomplishing things! so thankful for everyone @ allen, A-UP!!!
Hey y’all!! My name is McKynna Ricks and I’m a senior here at Allen. I plan on taking a gap year in attempt to save up, move out, and then start at Collin to major in English Composition. I’ve been in AISD for a total of three years—fourth grade at Mary Evans, and came back wayy later to start my junior year at Allen High School...and boy has it been a ride. Jumping into a high school with around 5-6k kids, coming from a small private school with around 30 kids in my grade was quite a jolt of reality. Going from constantly being told who to be, what to wear, what to believe, and who I was without any chance of growth, to coming back to Allen and realizing there was so much more I was about to learn about myself was chaotic in the least, but it was exactly what I needed. I’m so proud of the person I am today, and all the challenges and experiences I’ve been through and overcome while at Allen; it initiated the growth I needed to be where I’m at and who I am today, and who I will continue to grow into, and it gave me lifelong friends. To all the underclassmen reading this, and to all the Juniors nervous about your senior year, I’ll leave you with these: Know who you are, your value, your strengths, welcome growth, and find YOUR people—the people who will accept and love you, the people who make you feel welcomed and safe and cared for, the people you can always come to, the people you can make lasting memories with. There is so much more after high school, so do what you love, find your dreams and hold on to them no matter what anyone says, look however you want and embrace your appearance (everyone else is insecure too—it REALLY is the inside that matters, I promise you), be who you are unapologetically, and always look for room to grow, love, and explore the world and who you are as a person. “It is dangerous to ignore the existence of the irrational.” To any and everyone reading this—wherever you go next, I hope it brings you so much light and life. Thanks for it all Allen, it’s been real💙
Hey seniors, my name is Rylee and I will be attending The University Of Arkansas where i’m majoring in nursing with a Spanish minor! My time at allen has been one for the books! I have met so many great people and had so many opportunities which makes me so glad that i got the opportunity to be an eagle for 4 years!
A quote that i like to live by is “life is what happens when you’re busy making other plans” said by John Lennon. Through high school I found it so easy to get caught up in school and work. Now as a graduate I realize the best mems were made when I was fully engaged in the moment and didn't worry so much. Another big lesson was to not take life so seriously! High school is meant to be enjoyed and while grades and extracurriculars do matter, they aren’t everything! I am so grateful for my time at allen but I am so ready to move to fayettville and begin this new chapter! A-up always…. And of course WOO PIG
Hey y’all! My name is Arianna Arianayagam and I’ve been an Allen Eagle since 3rd grade. It’s crazy to think that this chapter of our lives has come to an end! These past four years of high school have a held a lot of trials, but also new beginnings and so many amazing experiences. It took a lot for me to figure out who I want to be today, but I’ve learned to pursue things that bring me joy rather than try to fit in all the time.
My advice to anyone struggling with their purpose/ fitting in is to realize that what other people say about you is a reflection of their character, not your actions. The best thing that you can do for yourself is to be kind to others and put yourself out there! Also, know that it’s okay to fail! We live in a world where everything seems manufactured- we even brag about being “authentic” in carefully edited social media posts. When everyone around you seems to be doing just fine, it can be hard to open up about our struggles/ fears, even with our friends. Don’t be afraid to be genuine because you’re worried about what other people will think. Often, the strongest friendships come when you are open about being you! I know that this situation isn’t ideal and it’s sometimes hard to be optimistic in this situation, but I know that “this too shall pass” and the best is yet to come for our class!
I’ll be attending UNT in the fall majoring in Public Health and minoring in Spanish. I am so thankful for everything that Allen has taught me and for all of the amazing people that I’ve met along the way. A-UP forever ❤️
Psalm 91:2 “This I declare about the Lord: He alone is my refuge, my place of safety; he is my God, and I trust him.”
Hey guys I’m Ryan( gonna keep us short and sweet), I will be taking my basics at Collin next year. My story at Allen started freshman year when I moved from McKinney. I found a family in the football team and Pals program, I found that once I invested myself in the school it was smooth sailing from there. I’ve met life long friends and have made lasting memories as my time as an eagle. Since COVID I’ve realized I’ve taken a lot of people and everyday high school for granted. My favorite memory as an Allen eagle would have to be allaso ranch. When I first came to Allen all I wanted to do was go back to McKinney but now that the journey is coming to an end I wouldn’t have traded my high school experience for anything. There is no Place like Allen Tx, the culture at Allen is foreign to anyone who hasn’t attended a high school event and seeing how the whole community is behind their high school. I wish everyone graduating to have an amazing future and great college experience #seniors2020
Hey everyone! My name is Julianna Whitecotton. I will be attending the University of Notre Dame and will be majoring in mechanical engineering. I moved to Allen in 4th grade from Chicago and I remember refusing to think that this place would ever be my home. Of course I was wrong. Allen has such a unique sense of community that made this place feel more like home. I think our class really embraced that this year and it was so amazing to see us all come together during the best times and the worst. I’ve been involved in a lot over the past 4 years. From PALs to Tallenettes to Clinicals and all of the clubs I’ve been in, I have made so many memories and met so many great people along the way. I’m so grateful for the many opportunities I have had at Allen that have shaped my future. I know none of us wanted our year to end like this, but the way we are all coming together and making the most out of what we have is so inspiring. A-up 4ever 💙
Hey guys! i’m Fatima Subhani and i will be attending Collin to get my basics out of the way and hopefully transfer to UTSA to major in Cybersecurity. even though this isn’t the best situation, i am still happy for all the memories allen has given me these past four years. i entered freshmen year not knowing anyone and keeping to myself to leaving senior year having made a few friends and created a club! if i knew friday march 6th was our last day i would step foot at allen high as a senior, i wouldnt have taken for granted mrs.syfert’s handshake at 7 in the morning, i would’ve sat in office aide a little more appreciative instead of waiting to go to the next period, i wouldn’t have sat in agony all of english, and i definitely wouldn’t have rushed to my car after seventh to get home and start spring break. although our senior year lacked the main things that make up a senior year, class of 2020 was fun amazing and wild as any other.
a-up!
Hi my name is Andrea and I’ll be studying engineering at Texas A&M in the fall. I am so grateful that I got to go to such a wonderful school! I mean not many people can say that they went to a school with a famous cafeteria and a $60 mil stadium lol! I’m so glad I got to meet such amazing friends and teachers that have helped me so much. I’ve met so many talented and intelligent people who I look up to, and seeing all my teachers who love what they do has definitely inspired me. Just seeing how much everyone in Allen cares about us is so heartwarming. All the effort gone in to making us feel special during this tough time is greatly appreciated. I’ve learned so much from my many years at Allen, and I’m excited to use what I’ve learned moving forward. We are the future, and I can’t wait to see how we will change the world!
Hi everyone! My name is Candace Yuan. After graduating, I’m attending Baylor University to study Neuroscience on the pre-med track and minor in Spanish.
For the class of 2020, I know this is definitely not the year we would have imagined and it has been sad to see stuff that we looked forward to pass by. However, I think this time has given us the greatest opportunity to reflect on our years at Allen together and all of the great friendships and memories we have made. I wanted to thank all of my friends for inspiring me to bring positivity to all aspects of life and encouraging me to spread that positivity to others as well. To the class of 2020, I am so excited to see what we will accomplish and the positivity and light we will bring to our futures. To underclassmen, create and put yourself in the best environment you can be in and see the personal growth that you have or will accomplish. Congrats to the class of 2020! A-UP and Sic ‘em bears !!
Hey everyone!! My name is Katie Hines and I will be attending the Fashion Institute of Technology! My time at Allen has been so cherished and I’m so thankful for all of the friends and opportunities I’ve had here. I’m very excited to be moving back east to New York City although there will be some very hard goodbyes! I’m going to keep this pretty short so one piece of advice I would give is to surround yourself with the people that make you happiest and live life to the fullest!! Congrats everyone, we did it!
Hello! My name is Gabby Ponthier, and I have been in Allen since kindergarten. One piece of advice that I have: find an outlet. For me, my outlet is the arts. From a young age, I have been surrounded by a musical family. Starting in Pre-K I would always go to my dad’s gigs and rehearsals then soon after I began playing piano. At the age of two I started dancing. I still dance very heavily today.
Life has thrown many curveballs over the course of my life, but accessibility to personal expression has been a constant whether that be through dance or writing or music, for all that you need is yourself. A sense of empowerment and stability stems from this, so find a positive outlet for when the hard times hit.
Healthy daily reminders: Your words matter. Connections with individuals matter. Being grateful and limiting entitlement matters. Genuine intentions matter.
I will be attending the University of Texas at Austin to study Biomedical Engineering in the fall. I wish everyone the best of luck in their future endeavors. A-UP!
Hi friends!! My name is Emily Tye and I’ll be attending Dallas Baptist University in the fall majoring in Christian Studies! I’ve been so blessed to be able to grow up in Allen, it truly is an amazing place. I’ve made so many friends through FCA, DOLLS, colorguard, and choir! I’m so excited to graduate with everyone on friday even thought it may not be happening exactly the way we wanted. Through all this, I’ve had to lean on God more than I’ve ever had to before and, because of Him, I know that everything’s gonna be okay in the end!:) We may not know why this all had to happen, but we do know that God is in complete control:) I love y’all and hope for the best for everyone as we all go into this new season of life! SENIORS 2020!! A-Up forever!💛#wedobecollegestudentsnowtho
Hey guys 👋🏽 My name is AJ Ferrari and I’ll be attending Oklahoma State University in the summer majoring in Exercise Science - Principles of Strength and Conditioning. I am going on a scholarship and will help the Cowboys chase their 35th NCAA team title shooting for 4 individual ones of my own. I will also be pursuing World and Olympic Championships in Wrestling as well, under head Wrestling Coach John Smith (6 time consecutive world and olympic champ). I hope everyone had a great senior year at allen and congrats to all the students graduating. Also big shout out to all Eagles going to Oklahoma State University. HMU anytime at Oklahoma State to hang 🤙🏽. Go Cowboys! 👨🏻🎓🤠🍊💪🏽
hey y'all!!! i'm zaina and i will be attending austin college this fall to study political science! moving to allen right before the start of middle school was a true blessing. i never thought i'd consider allen my home but i can truly say this is my home. and i am beyond thankful for all of the friends and family allen has given me. throughout my years of being a high schooler, the greatest thing i learned would be your happiness is always a priority. everyone deserves to be happy and feel loved no matter what. life is so much more fun when you let yourself be happy with who you are and what you've accomplished. although our senior year is ending in a few days in a completely different way than we wished for, i am so grateful to have been apart of such a special class!! i cant wait to see what all of you accomplish throughout the coming years! and for those of you still wondering if it's pronounced zaina or jayna, it's jayna:) thank you for everything allen! a-up<3
Hey y’all my name is Zara Malik and I’m gonna be attending Collin for the first couple years and then transferring to major in criminology. Allen has been my home and always will be. From Chandler to Ford to the high school, I couldn’t imagine going anywhere else. I’ll forever be grateful for the memories and friends I’ve made at Allen. I’m going to miss seeing my friends in the hall, my teachers and being a PAL and mentoring incredible kids. My advice for future seniors would be to soak everything in for your last year. Attend all of the fun events and enjoy them while you can. Although senior year is ending in a way none of us saw coming, this year has been the best year I’ve had. Being a part of the Class of 2020 is something we should be proud of because we’re experiencing this together and getting through it. I’m excited to see what the future brings! A-up forever!
Senior Quote: Just because something is written in stone doesn’t mean you can’t carve something over it
Hey guys! For those who don’t know me my name is Mariah Belin. I was born in Wisconsin and moved to Texas 7 years ago. Since I’ve been in the Allen school district I’ve met so many amazing people and learned a ton of valuable knowledge that will help me in life. After graduation I plan to go to Collin college for a year or two and then transfer to Savannah College of Art and Design, University North Texas, or University of Wisconsin. I want to pursue a career in writing and art. Although our senior year wasn’t what we expected we still made the most of it. I’m proud of all we’ve accomplished during these four years and I wish you all the very best!
My name is brianna black. I will be attending Texas tech to major in nursing and minor in forensics. My senior year was a very bumpy ride. From starting 1.5 months late due to being in a mental hospital to work on personal issues. I worked hard to get early admission to tech. I am grateful for the teachers I’ve had and the friends I’ve made, but I can’t wait to start this new chapter of my life.
Hey, it's Alec! This year has been truly a rollercoaster for me and the events that have happened in my life. No matter how bad things got though. I would never trade it for anything in the world because without your painful past you wouldn't learn to avoid it in the future.
Hey seniors! My Name is Elodie Richard and I will be attending Trinity University majoring in Biology with a Pre-Med pathway as well as playing for the women’s tennis team. Searching for colleges and finding the right place for me was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done. I had to find a team, a coach, a campus and an academic program that I could consider my home for four years. Recruiting was not an easy process. I emailed coaches, invited them to tournaments, I practiced for hours in the hot summer afternoons. I did everything I was supposed to do and more but it still wasn’t enough for most coaches. If you couldn’t produce the results it didn’t matter if you had better form, a stronger work ethic and team personality. I got rejection after rejection until I finally found a place at St. Edward’s University. Everything was finally going according to plan and it was smooth sailing to graduation.
On April 15th, I received a call from the St. Edward’s coach that the school had cut 6 athletic programs including women’s tennis because of Corona. This left me speechless. I had 15 days exactly to find a new school, a new team... a new home. I had to restart the entire recruiting process, which generally takes a year with tournaments going on and the courts actually being open to practice. On April 30th I committed to Trinity University after calling tons of coaches and asking schools to reopen applications so that I could have a shot at College Tennis. The point is seniors and underclassmen is that no matter what happens in the end it happens for a reason. Give yourself time to grieve but then get back up and do what needs to be done. Don’t give up just because there’s an easy way out. Allen thank you so much for these past 13 years!! A-Up always and Go Tigers!!!
Hey everyone! My name is Emily Ashworth! Wow, where do I even begin? My time here at Allen High School has FLOWN by and I still can’t believe this year is over. Although our senior year has been cut short and is not ending the way any of us had envisioned, I can’t help but think back on my three years at AHS and be thankful for all that I got to experience. From the football games to the snacks in the Eagle Edge to the amazing friendships formed, I’m going to miss it all so much. This time three years ago, however, I never saw any of this coming. I had made the unexpected decision to transfer back here my sophomore year after attending a small Christian school in ninth grade, and although I didn’t necessarily want to come to such a huge school, I am so grateful that I did. God opened new doors for me here at Allen and blessed me with countless opportunities to serve, such as through PALs and FCA.
Through these programs, I have learned that there is a need EVERYWHERE and that anyone can make a difference. They have also helped me realize that the only way to truly find fulfillment is to help make an impact in the lives of others. It doesn't matter who we’re friends with, what we’re involved in, or what kind of classes we take, but what does matter is the influence you have on other people, whether it’s as simple as saying hi to someone in the hallway or reaching out to the kid who needed a friend. Class of 2020, we’re destined to do big things! Now go out there and change the world! A-Up forever!
Hi everyone!! My name is Maya Doshi and I’m attending the University of Texas at Austin next year! I moved to Allen in 5th grade and ever since then have had the best time with some of the best people. I’m so proud to be a part of the class of 2020 and to be graduating alongside hands down the most talented, compassionate, intelligent, and driven people. Shoutout to those who were close to me throughout high school, i’m forever grateful of the positive impact you had on me and I hope we stay in touch through the next phases of our lives. Some of my favorite memories at AHS have got to be the football games, homecomings, and performing in the talent show this year. I’m so thankful to say that I went to a high school that really went above and beyond to show school pride and community. The best part about AHS for me was the opportunities it offered beyond just academics. As a member of PALs, Choir, NHS, and DECA, I highly recommend underclassmen to get involved and really take advantage of the full experience of AHS. Thank you to the teachers and students who made Allen so special to me, and especially for everything they’ve done in the past couple of months to support us. And to the class of 2020, I can’t wait to see the amazing things we accomplish, oh and our high school reunion is going to be so iconic. A-UP and hook ‘em:)
Hi I’m Sami Ullah and I’ll be attending Texas Tech University in the fall to pursue a degree in Computer Science. I’ve had the privilege of attending Allen High School for the past 3 years right after I moved from Bangladesh in sophomore year. At first I was scared about fitting in or making friends but AHS made it feel like family. Being a part of sports, clubs and organizations really let me come out my comfort zone and gave me the chance to come across amazing people and I really couldn’t ask for anything better. My teachers and friends from AHS have really had an influence on me and has allowed me to become a better version of myself.
It’s sad to see our senior year get cut short but coming out of this together is what would testify for the strength that we have in unity. I’ll be remembering AHS with fond memories of FNL and homecoming and many more. I wish everyone good luck for their futures.
One last time before I become an alumni, A-Up!
hey guys!! i’m clarissa leal and i’ll be attending the university of oklahoma to study nursing!! although our senior year ended early, i am more than excited to start our new chapter in life! i will forever be thankful for all the memories and people i met along the way! being a part of many clubs and organizations brought many life lessons and skills i will take with me into my future. one thing i learned thoughtout my high school career is be yourself. don’t let social media or anything change who you are inside and out. everyone is beautiful in their own way so embrace it!! find those true friends and your passion and the world is yours! i hope you all had an amazing time at allen like i did and i will forever cherish it all! A-UP and boomer sooner!!! ☝🏼❤️
Hey! My name is Ashley Amigo and I plan to get my Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Texas Woman’s University after completing 1-2 years at Collin to get my basic classes done so I could avoid as much student debt as possible haha⠀
Anyways, in situations like where the Class of 2020 is at right now, life could change in an instant which is why my advice to the underclassmen is to not take the good days for granted. Slow down and enjoy the moment. There were more good days than bad days, however, those bad days helped me grow as a person to learn from my mistakes. I met a lot of cool, positive energy people along the way and I just want to say thanks. Thank you for making these past years very memorable. A UP!!🥺💙❤️🤍
Hiiii! My name is Joice Chitteth and I’ve been at Allen since kindergarten! It’s been such a blessing to call this city home and attend such an amazing school! Although my high school experience hasn’t been what I expected or wanted, I wouldn’t have traded it for anything else. We’ve all grown and learned so much from our time at Allen, both academically and personally. I just want to thank my teachers and friends for their support throughout the years, and the impact that they’ll leave forever. My advice to the underclassmen, is to breathe and enjoy these years. Life is short, and we’ve seen that over and over again. Don’t stress too much about little things! Also, get involved in something you’re passionate about! I plan on majoring in Biology with a minor in Spanish this fall and I want to wish the AHS Class of 2020 a bright future! A-UP! “The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end;” Lamentations 3:22
Hey my name is Corey Sell and I will be attending Collin Community as well as transferring to the University of Arkansas for Business. I’ve been attending Allen ISD since the 1st grade and I’ve taken in a lot of new friends and experiences that will never be forgotten. This year has had a lot of ups and downs but that will never stop what our future holds. Can’t wait for the next chapter!
Hey everyone! My name is Sotonye Jack. I moved from Nigeria to Allen Texas in my junior year and it has been a wonderful year for me. In the fall I will be attending Collin College for a Nursing degree. I've met amazing people in Allen. I really miss my Choir class, I will miss the amazing people there and my choir teacher. I wish you guys all the best and Good luck.
Hi y’all! Most of y’all probably won’t remember me because I moved away in fourth grade to go to Chicago, but I came back for my senior year. My three quarters of a year here at Allen High was absolutely amazing and I was so happy to not only make new friendships, but more importantly reconnect with so many of y’all and I wouldn’t change it for the world. My time at Allen mostly consisted of going to football games, which were very different than Chicago games, to getting involved with FCA on Thursday’s and it was absolutely amazing!
I will be attending Ouachita Baptist University next fall double majoring in political science and finance with a possible minor in Mandarin, if I have time. Thank y’all for making me feel like I belonged here this year and I wish everyone the best!
hey allen seniors!! i’m lamiha hossain and i’ll be attending the university of texas at dallas in the fall to study healthcare studies to hopefully become a PA in the coming years! although our senior year ended abruptly and we weren’t able to get our last moments at allen high school, we all still did it! we got through all of this all together and we are graduating tomorrow!! We are about to start a whole new chapter in our lives all over the place and i’m more than excited to see what everyone does. I will forever be thankful for all the memories I made at allen high school. I have been an allen eagle ever since kindergarten-12th grade, allen will always be home. My favorite memories will always be all the events in PALs, showing around teachers, making new friends in every class, being able to be apart of the talent show every year and show off my culture that i will always be so passionate.
One piece of advice i would like to say is branch out, meet people, and join clubs! I joined DECA my senior year and i’m so thankful for all the experiences i had that I wish i joined earlier! I wanna say thank you to all my friends and teachers and everyone who helped me get through the tough times and make my high school years the best that it can be. I am so grateful to be apart of Class of 2020 and can’t wait to see what we all accomplish!! A-UP and congrats seniors 2020!! we did it y’all !!
Hey guys! My names Tyler Cameron and I’ll be attending the University of Oklahoma in the fall! I couldn’t be more excited to see what this next chapter in life holds, but it’s difficult to let go of these past couple years. Having the end of senior year stolen from us and losing the last couple months together has made me even more grateful for the times we did have together.
The past four years I played on the tennis team and it has been a highlight of my high school career and there’s no way to express how thankful I am for the opportunity to compete alongside my teammates. It’s brought me some of my best friends and it’s hard to say goodbye to something that’s been a constant in my life for so many years. This team has taught me that working hard towards a goal can be very rewarding and fun.
Some advice I have for younger students is to just get involved with the high school wherever you can. The extra time you spend at these events is worth staying up a little later to study or do some homework. At the end of the day the connections you make with others is just as important as your academics and you won’t regret getting to know your peers better.
Hey!! For those of y’all that don’t know me, I’m Anya Krishnaswamy and I’m going to be at UT Austin next year! I’m studying International Relations and I plan on being a human rights lawyer or working for the government. High school, especially senior year, has been amazing (at least up until spring break) and that’s largely because of the close-knit community at Allen High (shoutout to Allen choir and theatre!!) . Yes, there were parts of the past four years that were weird and messy, but overall I wouldn’t trade it for anything! I had so many fun experiences and, most importantly, I met some really wonderful friends. My advice to underclassmen would be to not take yourself too seriously! Go with the flow; things have a way of working out. A-UP always!! Congrats to all the seniors, I can’t wait to see all the great things you guys will do! 🥳
Hi guys! My name is Alyssa Holloway, and I will be going to Austin College in the fall to study and play volleyball. I have been attending Allen since Kindergarten, and I couldn’t have been more blessed to grow up here. From the people you meet, to the teachers you have, to the friends you make, Allen has been such an amazing place for me to be. I’m grateful for each any every person I’ve encountered here, and I’m going to miss our class so much. Thank you all so much for the wonderful memories. It sucks our senior was cut short, but nothing or no one can replace the memories we already had here and made with each other. Thank you for everything, and I wish you all the best of luck in your future!! We have such a special class, and no one can ever take that away from us ❤️
hey y’all! my name is gabby wright! i started my life as a story falcon, then became a ford mustang, and finally ended as an allen eagle. my plan is to take a year to save money and work, while attending collin college and taking some core classes. after that i’ll either transfer to byu-i or serve a mission for my church :) i haven’t decided what i’m going to major in yet, but i’m sure i will eventually. although it’s upsetting that we all had our last year cut short, i’ll always cherish those memories that we got to make. it’s been a dream to grow up in such an amazing town. i was able to make many life-long friends here at allen, and i’m so grateful for that! i wish everyone the best with their future endeavors- A-UP!❤️🤍💙
hey guys!! my name is grace tanuku and i moved to allen in fourth grade. i went from being a chandler cheetah to being a ford mustang to finally being an allen eagle. i am attending unt and will be majoring in biology. my advice for future seniors would be to get plugged into as many clubs and organizations as possible and to never take a moment for granted. make as many memories as possible and no matter what always try and look on the positive side of things. im so lucky to have been apart of allen and will forever be grateful for the friends and memories i have made. i wish everyone the best with their future!! a-up!!❤️💙🤍
Hey y’all my name is Paige Seaton and this was my first and last year at Allen unfortunately. Although it’s been a hard transition this year, i’m proud to be an eagle! I plan to attend UT Arlington in the fall, majoring in biology and a minor in neuroscience. For any new people, or incoming underclass men I would definitely suggest getting involved with the clubs and organizations. A-UP❤️💙#ahs2020 #maverickmade
Hey guys! My name is Justin Hall and I’ve lived in Allen my entire life. I went to Boon Elementary and then Ereckson Middle School. This fall I am attending The University of Oklahoma and majoring in Finance. While at Allen, I played varsity football my junior and senior year and I am so thankful for it. I was able to make friendships that will last a lifetime and learn lessons that will help me throughout life. I wouldn’t trade that time for anything. It is crazy how fast these four years have gone by. My advice for underclassmen is to join a sport or club. This allows you to meet a wide variety of people and make new friends. Even though our senior year didn’t end how we wanted it to, we accomplished so many things and we’ll continue to throughout our lives. A-UP!
Hello, my name is Luis San Martin. Over the last few years I’ve worked harder than I ever have in my life to make it to where I am now. I am a rugby player, choral choir singer, and a Longboarder. After graduation I plan to go to collin college and study physical therapy. Personally I believe the best advice to give anyone would be to live a life of peace and understanding amongst all the people you come across in life, the time we have is much too short to exhaust on hate and selfishness. If you’ve ever shown me kindness, I want to thank you and to let you know that it didn’t go unnoticed.
Congrats 2020 seniors❤️🦅
Hey guys my name is Solé!!! I moved to Allen in the third grade and became a cheatham charger then a Boyd Blackhawk then a Ereckson Husky and lastly an Allen Eagle. In the fall i will be attending SMU to major in dance. Any advice that I would give any future seniors is to be involved as much as possible. Make memories and have fun. I wish the best to all my classmates and will miss you all dearly. A-UP!!!
Hey everyone!! For those who do not know me, my name is Vanessa Ombiri!! Now, who would’ve thought that our last day was going to be March 6th, it’s actually quite crazy to think about it because we had intentions on coming back. I just want to say that I’m proud of all of us and I’m proud of myself, these past few years have not been the easiest but there have been many moments where we all laughed, screamed, and danced. So cherish those happy moments. I know this global pandemic has taken a HUGE toll on our lives but I truly believe that our futures will compensate for the time we lost. :) I’m thankful for the friends and acquaintances I’ve made along the way and I wish nothing but peace and prosperity to anyone I have interacted with. Y’all, we are going to COLLEGE!! It is so crazy that we are graduating literally TOMORROW but you know what they say “nothing lasts forever”. As we move on to this next chapter of our lives, I pray that we learn from our mistakes and become the absolute BEST versions of ourselves in college. Don’t worry y’all we will go back to living our BEST lives, just have faith and try to stay positive. Love, your Senior Class Vice President.
Hey, my name is Dakota Jackson. I moved here from Oklahoma in 2017. School is completely different from anything I’ve seen before. I made a lot of friends throughout my time here. I’ll be running Track and majoring in buisness management at Boston University. Go terriers!
Hello, my name is Raegan Travis I’ve been in Allen for 10 years. Olson/Curtis/AHS I’m thankful for the friendships and memories I made throughout the years. I received a basketball scholarship to Howard College and I will be majoring in Sport Administration. I’m excited to move on to the next chapter in my life and can’t wait to see what the future holds! My advice is that you can do anything you set your mind to no matter how hard it may be or how many trials it takes you to accomplish your goal, only you can make it happen. Congrats Allen 2020 seniors! ❤️💙
hey y’all!! i’m claire and i’ve gone to allen schools my whole life. in the fall i will be attending bradley university in peoria IL to major in theatre design and production with an emphasis in stage management. my advice is to stay positive and remember that everything (including friendships) will work out the way they’re supposed to, and just be grateful for every moment.
I am raylen sharpe, quarterback for your Allen eagles. I wanted to say thank you to the Allen community I have been here since the 1st grade and being here has helped me on the journey I am on. I will be attending the university of Houston playing football and running track. I will be majoring in retailing and consumer science where I want to pursue to start my own business. Love you all and see y’all around.
Hey guys! I’m Milka Yohannes! This fall I will be attending UNT, and I plan to major in environmental science.
My time at AHS has flown by and has been quite the adventure, and I can’t believe the year is over. Although this year has been cut short and not how we expected it to turn out, I am still glad for how my 4 years at Allen has been.
As many of you probably know, I’ve been a part of the band. One thing I’ve learned from that is to never let anyone tell you what you can and can’t do. At first, it was a struggle for me to get more involved in band, but the more I kept going, I was able to show everyone I was capable of marching. One advice I would give is to never give up, and show everyone what you are capable of doing.
I’m so proud to be a part of the class of 2020. A-UP forever!!
hi friends🥰 my name’s somatta and i’ve been at allen since 6th grade. the overarching sense of community that allen high school (and the entire city) holds, is something i took for granted throughout my years here. yet, i when i look back, it is one thing i find myself incredibly thankful to have been part of. the love that our school district, teachers, and community have for all of us, was so evident throughout these past couple months. allen has given me countless opportunities, memories and people that i will forever hold close to my heart; and for that i am eternally thankful. advice to the underclassman: go into everything you do wholeheartedly, and with genuine intent; your future self will thank you for it :) I am beyond excited to see what the future holds for our graduating class. congrats everyone, love y’all!!
Hey y’all! I’m Zoë McCrary and I will be attending the College of Charleston on a basketball scholarship in the fall. This is my 6th and final year at Allen, and this has been such an emotional but exciting ride! As a student-athlete, I learned so much from dealing with injuries, to being a leader- from having confidence and integrity, to being their when your teammates need you the most. These aside from playing the game of basketball, will take me so much farther than a basketball ever will. This sport is my platform not only to better others around me athletically, it’s to share my faith and testimony and show others the love and light through my Savior, Jesus Christ.
My tips for any incoming underclassmen is to always be yourself first in for most, encourage your peers, stay positive, and don’t be afraid to be different. We’re all going through tough times in our own ways, but it only takes one person to brighten somebody’s day. YOU CAN BE THAT PERSON!! Be a light and stand out!! And in turn, you feel good inside too!!
I wish you all the best on your journeys!! Once an Eagle, ALWAYS an Eagle!! A-Up Forever!!❤️❤️
Hey everyone! My name is Kyle Rubens and next year I'll be majoring in Computer Science at the University of Texas at Dallas! I've been in Allen ISD for the past 13 years (Kerr, Ereckson, & AHS) and I will never forget all of the amazing people I've met during my time here.
My advice to current students would be to make the most of your time in high school. Focus on the things you're passionate about and don't try to convince yourself that you have to be the best at everything.
It definitely sucks that I won't have the opportunity to say goodbye to everyone, but I am grateful for all of the memories and am looking forward to what the future holds. Thank you and 🅰️🆙
