Growing Critical Thinking skills and Higher-Level Understanding through Effective Questioning.
History is my true passion, and American history captivates me most. From the Revolutionary War’s fight for independence to the Civil Rights Movement’s triumphs, I’m endlessly fascinated by the people, ideas, and events that shaped the nation. Every story, from forgotten figures to pivotal moments, fuels my curiosity and deepens my appreciation for the past’s impact on today.
I believe that many students forget that the first form of history is story telling. When given a chance to tell a story we invite a opportunity to understand the past in a unique way and offer a chance to ask questions that may not have been asked before. I want to challenge them in a few different ways: focus in on Historical perspective first before relating to their perspective, use primary sources, the use of cause and effect relationships within historical perspective, group discussion/debate and projects. I believe these are lacking within the modern classroom and technology can bridge a gap with its use of AI in the near future.

Teaching has always been my calling, and I am now proudly pursuing that passion—sharing the story of America with the next generation. With a deep love for history I bring a unique perspective to the classroom.
My passions paint a vibrant tapestry of entertainment, connection, and curiosity. Music is my heartbeat, whether I’m losing myself in soulful melodies or energizing beats that fuel my day. Movies, especially Marvel’s cinematic spectacles, captivate me with their blend of action, emotion, and larger-than-life heroes. X-Men comics hold a special place in my heart, their rich narratives of struggle and unity resonating deeply. Star Wars, with its epic saga of good versus evil, sparks my imagination, drawing me into galaxies far, far away.
Family time is my anchor—whether we’re sharing laughter over a board game, watching a classic film, or just catching up, those moments recharge me. Video games offer another escape, where I dive into immersive worlds, strategizing and exploring with every click. Stepping outside, I find balance in nature’s embrace, whether hiking through a forest or simply basking in the fresh air under a wide sky.
