Students have free rein to explore whatever topic interests them most!
Whether it be compiling monochrome images into a breathtaking astrophotography, discovering a new exoplanet through transit light curves, building an algorithm to sort stars into a Hertzsprung-Russell diagram, or developing your coding skills with an AstroPy bootcamp, we'll teach you the skills!
When we say the Allegheny Observers is for everyone, we mean everyone!
Nearly all of our members had zero prior experience in physics, astronomy, or coding before joining, so don't let that deter you.
We hope to see you at the observatory!
