The "Allegany Sound" Jazz Big Band is a large ensemble performing various jazz repertoire ranging from early jazz to modern day compositions. The ensemble consists of a large woodwind section, primarily saxophones, a brass section of trumpets and trombones, and a vast rhythm section including rhythm guitar, piano, vibes, and more. The group performs regularly each school year at concerts and festivals and features guest artists and composers.
