Welcome to PDF Master: Document Viewer (hereinafter referred to as the "App", "we", "us", or "our"). This document combines our Privacy Policy and User Agreement (Terms of Service).
By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree to these terms, please verify that you have uninstalled the App and do not use our services.
PART A: PRIVACY POLICY
1. Information We Collect & Permissions
To provide the core features of PDF Master, we require the following permissions based on our technical logic:
1.1. Storage Access (Required)
Permissions: MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE / READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE
Purpose & Logic:
Internal Viewer (PDF): The App includes a built-in PDF rendering engine. We use storage permission to find, open, and render PDF files directly within the App.
External Launcher (Office Docs): For non-PDF files (Word, Excel, PPT), the App acts as a local file manager. We scan your device to list these files and, upon your request, securely launch them through your device's default external system viewers.
Data Security: All document indexing and PDF rendering are processed locally on your device. We do not upload, collect, or store your personal documents on our servers.
1.2. Notifications (Optional)
Purpose: We use Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) to send app updates or important technical notices. You can manage this in your device settings.
1.3. Automatically Collected Data
Technical Data: Device model, OS version, Android ID, and Advertising ID (GAID).
Maintenance: We collect anonymized crash reports and usage logs to optimize app stability.
2. Third-Party Services
As a free tool, we partner with third-party SDKs for analytics and advertising (e.g., Google AdMob, Firebase). These partners may process your Advertising ID to show relevant ads. We never share your personal files with these partners.
PART B: USER AGREEMENT
I. License to Use
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive license to use the App for document management and PDF viewing.
II. External Third-Party Applications
For Office documents (Word, Excel, PPT), the App facilitates the opening of files via third-party external applications installed on your device. You acknowledge that:
We do not control the security or privacy practices of these external apps.
Any issues arising from the rendering or editing of files within external apps are subject to the terms of those specific third parties.
III. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided "AS IS". While we strive for perfect internal PDF rendering, we make no warranties regarding:
The compatibility of external viewers with your Office files.
The App being error-free or uninterrupted during high-load document processing.
IV. Limitation of Liability
In no event shall the "PDF Master" team be liable for any loss of data or indirect damages resulting from your use of the App or any third-party viewers launched through the App.
