2. Information We Collect To provide the "Dead Man’s Switch" functionality, we collect:
User Email Address: Used to identify your account and track your check-in status.
Emergency Contact Information: We collect names and email addresses of the contacts you designate. This data is only used to send alerts if you fail to check in.
Device Identifiers: Basic device info to ensure push notifications for check-in reminders work correctly.
3. How We Use Your Information We use your data strictly for the following:
To monitor your "Safe" status based on your selected grace period (1–14 days).
To send automated alerts via email to your designated contacts if the grace period expires.
We do not sell your personal or contact data to third parties.
4. Third-Party Service Providers We use trusted third-party services to ensure your alerts are delivered:
Supabase: For secure database storage and authentication.
Resend: To process and send the emergency alert emails. These providers are prohibited from using your data for any purpose other than providing these services.
5. Data Retention & Deletion We retain your data as long as your account is active. You can delete your account and all associated contact data at any time via the in-app settings. Upon deletion, all contact records are purged from our database.
6. Security We implement industry-standard encryption (HTTPS) for all data in transit and secure server-side storage to protect your sensitive information.
