ALISON BIXBY STONE SCHOOL
Alison Bixby Stone School (ABSS) is an accredited school with a social mission of providing a high-quality education for Honduran children.
To serve the needs of the Escuela Agrícola Panamericana Zamorano (EAP) employees, a small elementary school was founded in 1953 within the Zamorano Campus. The school was named Alison Bixby Stone School (ABSS), in honor of the daughter of Doris Zemurray, wife of Samuel Zemurray, founder of EAP. ABSS began to follow Zamorano’s purpose and ideals.
Alison Bixby Stone School currently operates across three buildings, within Zamorano University campus, and serves a population of 2020 students. The school has undergone significant expansions over the years to provide a comprehensive educational experience.

To provide children of diverse social-economic and cultural backgrounds a stimulating and challenging educational environment that fosters intellectual, social, and emotional growth while instilling an awareness of environmental responsibility and the understanding that learning is a life-long process that is both meaningful and enjoyable.
