I am a Ph.D. candidate in Economics at Syracuse University, expecting to graduate in May 2027. My research specializes in international economics and political economy, with connections to geoeconomics and the economics of aging.
Employing both structural modeling and reduced-form empirical methods, my research agenda connects these fields by examining how trade exposure affects workers differently across age cohorts and shapes their political behavior, while also studying how trade flows and currency regime choices adjust under geoeconomics pressure and economic statecraft.
Prior to my doctoral studies, I spent twelve years in investment banking. I hold a Master's degree in Economics from the Sao Paulo School of Economics (EESP-FGV) and a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP). I have also pursued additional studies in History and Journalism.
