I am a Ph.D. candidate in Economics at Syracuse University and expect to graduate in May 2027. I am an international trade economist working at the intersection of political economy, demographic change and geoeconomics.

My job market paper studies whether trade in healthcare services can mitigate the welfare effects of population aging in Europe. My other research projects examine the emergence of alternative trade-settlement arrangements under financial sanctions and the age-specific labor-market and electoral responses to the China Shock.

Prior to my Ph.D. studies, I worked in investment banking in Brazil for 12 years. I have a M.Sc. in Economics from FGV São Paulo School of Economics and a B.E. in Chemical Engineering from University of Campinas.
