HEALTH POLICY RESEARCHER
Welcome to my website! I am a fourth-year PhD candidate in Health Policy and Administration at the University of Illinois Chicago and Affiliated Researcher at Ghent University's Department of Economics. I hold a MSc in Economics (Summa Cum Laude) from Ghent University and a BSc in Economics from Université Libre de Bruxelles.
My research examines the implementation and wide-ranging impacts of health policies and social determinants of health to inform policymaking and promote health equity in the following areas:
Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR)
Maternal & Child Health (MCH)
Healthcare Access for Vulnerable Populations
Methodologically, I use interdisciplinary approaches to produce rigorous research, such as combining legal epidemiology with an applied econometric toolkit. I have extensive experience working with administrative data, medical claims and survey data, as well as leading original data collection efforts.
🏆In 2025, I received the Emerging Scholars in Family Planning grant & the Midwest Roybal Center Doctoral Competition grant.
